An extremely one-sided brawl is brewing in episode 9 of Eden’s Zero season 2, titled “Shiki vs. Drakken.”

Taking on the final boss, Shiki finds himself with the responsibility of stalling time until they get to the life support system by fighting Drakken head-on. However, his formidable foe has strength beyond his comprehension, and he quickly finds himself on the back foot.

However, Shiki is not without friends, as with the help of everyone on the crew, this mission is not so far from success. Running into Jinn, a mercenary, they sidestep the violence and get him to their side instead.

1. Episode 10 Speculation

Weisz entered the fight after hearing what Jinn and Amira had to say about Drakken’s abilities. However, it was not driven by the need to save or help Shiki but for revenge. A new addition to the backstory will likely be shown next episode, with another one of Drakken’s crimes put into the light.

It is likely that Weisz and Shiki together might be able to hold their own against Drakken, at least for some time, until either Shiki evolves his ether gear or Amira manages to reverse the life support system without his help. Either way, his defeat is imminent.

Shiki and Rebecca quickly infiltrate the prison area, where they find Labilia without a scratch but still trapped and are later revealed to have been in disguise the entire time. Transforming back into a more familiar form, she tells her identity, Amira.

She had already saved Labilia and sent her to a safe place in the club while she took her place. Homura enters her hiding spot and tries to piece together what happened. Amira explains her mission from her organization, a plan to take on Drakken’s form and steal his memories.

Drakken himself interrupts the meeting sending the ground to tar, and they all begin slowly sinking while he goes to take Rebecca. However, Shiki reacts quickly with his gravity powers taking the boss himself on a one versus one fight.

Amira suggests they let Shiki stall time to get the life support mission first, and they split up into groups. Meanwhile, Drakken fires up his ether gear and converts his fist into iron before launching powerful punches at Shiki, boosting offense and defense. 

He shows off the capacity of his ether and the difference in their powers. Meanwhile, Homura explains the situation to Labilia before returning to support her friends. Reaching the life support system, Jinn appears and pledges to kill anyone who enters the area.

Amira decides to pursue the psychological path instead of fighting and explains the true secret behind the life support machine. Something that sucks the life force out of everyone in the area; she uses his sister to try and convince him.

Bringing him on board with the plan, Jinn turns against his employer for his sister’s sake. Shiki powers up even further and launches himself into Drakken, launching attacks more potent by the second. However, the brute strength of the Overdrive is nothing to joke about.
