Season 1 ended with the completion of the Sun Jewel arc. In the final episode, Kurenai received a fitting punishment, and Homura acknowledged Valkyrie as her mother after an emotional drama.
Season 2 of Edens Zero is likely to adapt the Belial Gore arc of the manga. Just when the crew will be ready to journey beyond the Sakura Cosmos, they will find themselves being pursued by Drakken Joe.
Shiki and his team will unwittingly get trapped by Drakken. Their only way out is to face the Dark Alchemist. Right when all seems lost, Rebecca’s new power will prove to be their messiah.
The first season had 25 episodes and adapted to chapter 68 of the manga. If the upcoming season consists of a single cour, it might end with the Edens One arc, which covers until chapter 104.
If season 2 is just as lengthy as the first one, the anime will enter the Aoi Cosmos saga and find an ending point after a few arcs. It’s not confirmed if the next part will be a Netflix exclusive as well.
Nonetheless, Edens Zero still has plenty of source material left to be adapted, and the manga is still ongoing. From Rebecca’s new power to Drakken’s ship, the Belial Gore, season 2 is sure to keep you at the edge of your seat.
About Edens Zero
Edens Zero is a Japanese science fiction manga series written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine, into fourteen tankōbon volumes as of March 2021.
At the Granbell Kingdom, Shiki has lived his entire life among machines, in an abandoned amusement park. But one day, Rebecca and her cat companion Happy appear at the park’s front gates.
Little do they know that this is the first human contact Granbell has had in a hundred years! As Shiki stumbles his way into making new friends, his former neighbors stir at an opportunity for a robot-rebellion.
When his old homeland becomes too dangerous, Shiki must join Rebecca and Happy on their spaceship and escape into the boundless cosmos.
