Edens Zero Episode 9: Release Date, Speculation, And Watch Online

Edens Zero episode 8, titled “Wind Howls on the Highway,” has been released this week.

So far, Shiki learned that he and Elsie are connected to each other through the former Demon King, Ziggy. He also has the Demon King’s warship Edens Zero under his command after gaining its ownership.

In episode 8, Witch restores the warship to its previous form. She also advises Shiki with regards to using the ship to its full capabilities.

1. Episode 9 Speculations and Discussions

The title of episode 9, “Planet Guilst,” is revealed at the end of episode 8. 

From the events that occurred in episode 9, Shiki is now aware that Rebecca has been kidnapped and taken to Planet Guilst.

We will see an enraged Shiki invade Planet Guilst to rescue Rebecca. We may even see Weisz help him in this situation.

Since Shiki needs to gather the Demon King’s Four Shining Stars, he will cross paths with Sister, who is on Planet Guilst, and get her to his side.

Episode 9 of the Edens Zero anime, titled “Planet Guilst”, has been released on Sunday, Jun 06, 2021.

I. Is Edens Zero on Break This Week?

No, Edens Zero is not on break this week. Episode 9 is set to air as scheduled. No delay has been announced.

3. Recap of Episode 8

Episode 9, titled “Wind Howls on the Highway,” starts off with Witch introducing herself and restoring the ship to its original form. She claims to now be under the control of Shiki, the new Demon King.

Witch prompts Shiki to gather the Demon King’s Four Shining Stars, her disbanded gathering of individual androids. He has to gather them all to reestablish Edens Zero’s maximum potential. 

Witch warns them by saying if they fail to gather the Shining Stars, In all likelihood, they will experience issues crossing Dragonfall. Dragonfall is an area where dragons swarm that borders the Sakura Cosmos.

Shiki and his friends visit Shooting Starlight to find data on Sister Ivry, one of the three missing androids. After Weisz leaves the group, Rebecca and Happy are brought to meet with the Guild’s head. 

Shiki and Pino coincidentally find Labilia as she is almost snatched by Jinn, a cyborg and a Wind Ether Gear user who works for Sister. Shiki and Jinn fight each other through the city. 

However, Jinn has to withdraw from the fight due to his orders and welcomes Shiki to continue their fight in the Planet Guilst.

Afterward, a harmed Happy comes back to Shiki and informs him that Rebecca and the Guild’s Master have been captured. 

Just at that moment, a news broadcast reports a line of B-Cuber kidnappings. Shiki is made aware that Jinn is involved in these incidents.

The episode ends with Shiki and his group getting back to Edens Zero with the intention of going to Planet Guilst and rescuing Rebecca, followed by a mysterious girl who overheard their conversation. 

4. About Edens Zero

Edens Zero is a Japanese science fiction manga series written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine, into fourteen tankōbon volumes as of March 2021.

At the Granbell Kingdom, Shiki has lived his entire life among machines, in an abandoned amusement park. But one day, Rebecca and her cat companion Happy appear at the park’s front gates.

Little do they know that this is the first human contact Granbell has had in a hundred years! As Shiki stumbles his way into making new friends, his former neighbors stir at an opportunity for a robot-rebellion.
