Edens Zero Episode 17: Release Date, Speculation, And Watch Online

Edens Zero episode 16, titled “Fireworks,” was released this week.

Homura’s doppelganger turned out to be a government spy, Amira, who is investigating Drakken Joe. Finally, Shiki managed to defeat Jamilov even though he was using cheats to gain the upper hand. 

In episode 16, Jamilov hacked into the Edens Zero and sabotaged the ship from the internal system. Hermit’s horrific past was revealed. After a lot of convincing, Hermit agreed to join the team and saved the Edens Zero.

1. Episode 17 Speculations and Discussions

The title of episode 17, “The Temple of Knowledge,” is revealed at the end of episode 16.

Now that three of the four shining stars have been revived, the team only needs to look for Valkyrie. 

They usually would not be able to find her so easily. However, Hermit joining the team will be a massive help to them. She will be able to use her exceptional prowess in data analysis to figure out Valkyrie’s coordinates. 

Other than Shiki meeting Valkyrie, I cannot wait to see the encounter between Homura and Valkyrie. Hopefully, they battle each other.

3. Recap of Episode 16

Episode 16, titled “Fireworks,” starts with Jamilov hacking into the Edens Zero and destroying it from the inside. 

Shiki and the others approach Hermit, who has locked herself in a room as she is the only one capable of reestablishing the warship’s security frameworks.

Nonetheless, Hermit wants the group to escape without her, considering the events that took place fifteen years ago that made her resent humans. 

In a flashback in the Planet Newton, Hermit tries to become a close acquaintance with the human Dr. Müller and his exploration group. Hermit helps them with fostering a machine to give energy to outdated robots on the adjoining Planet Hook. 

Sadly, the machine’s energy devastates Planet Hook alongside her android partners positioned there. In contrast, Müller and the others uncover that they designed the calamity to demonstrate their scorn towards robots. 

Müller conducts unbearable trials on Hermit for the following two years until he and his group are captured, forcing the broken Hermit to avoid any human contact. 

Back in the present, Shiki and his group will not leave Hermit against her fights, which drives her to understand that she wants fellowship with people despite her hate towards them. 

Urged by Shiki to trust herself all things being equal, Hermit decides to be their companion and help them.

The episode ends with Hermit protecting the Edens Zero and embarrassing Spider while recovering her happiness and trust in humans.
