Edens Zero Episode 14: Release Date, Speculation, And Watch Online

Edens Zero episode 13, titled “The Super Virtual Planet,” was released this week.

Last we saw, Shiki and his group nearly escaped the Chronophage that hit Planet Guilst. Sister and Witch called Homura out for being Valkyrie’s pupil.

Just as they were discussing the whereabouts of the remaining two Shining Stars, they saw Hermit. 

They realized that Hermit is in a catatonic state caused by psychological trauma.

Witch determined that Hermit’s mind is currently secluded within the planet Digitalis, which a physical body cannot access.

1. Episode 14 Speculations and Discussions

The title of episode 14, “The Girl on the Hill,” is revealed at the end of episode 13.

Since Shiki has always been kind towards species that are not humans, he will never be able to forgive Jamilov for mass murdering NPCs and other humans.

Shiki will battle against Jamilov to avenge the dead players. However, I personally think that it won’t be that easy a fight for Shiki. 

Jamilov is associated with Drakken Joe, who has a reputation for destroying planets. Although the battle will be tough, Shiki will figure out how to use his powers against him and defeat him.

Unfortunately, however, this will also make Shiki one of Drakken Joe’s targets. 

I’m also sure that after seeing how compassionate Shiki is towards non-human species, Hermit’s faith in humanity will return, and she will join the Edens Zero crew again.

Episode 14 of the Edens Zero anime, titled “The Girl on the Hill”, has been released on Sunday, Jul 11, 2021.

3. Recap of Episode 13

Episode 13, titled “The Super Virtual Planet,” starts off with Shiki and his group crossing paths with Hermit. 

Sister states that something is wrong, and the group immediately retrieve Hermit and get her on board Edens Zero. 

Shiki and his group realize that Hermit is in a comatose state brought about by mental trauma. 

Motivated by Shiki’s idea of entering her body to fix her “heart,” Witch discovers that Hermit’s psyche is isolated inside the planet Digitalis, a virtual planet. 

Planet Digitalis is also the server for the vastly popular multiplayer online role-playing game Rogue Fantasia. Witch suggests that they could go to Planet Digitalis and bring back Hermit.

Shiki and his group enter the game by transferring their awareness into computerized symbols. They are cautioned by Witch that any wounds and death they intake in the virtual world will influence their actual bodies. 

The group questions the game’s self-aware non-player characters (NPCs) and gain information from an Event Boss that Hermit is always alone near the hills and is close to the city of Crysta.

The city of Crysta has been assaulted by the mass-killing player Jamilov, a partner of Drakken Joe, who is known to have destroyed planets. 

Shiki and his group show up at the city to discover its NPCs and visiting players slaughtered by Jamilov, who flaunts his immunity of being banned from the game even after committing these crimes. 

The episode ends with Shiki enraged at Jamilov, ready to fight him. In the meantime, Hermit tragically thinks about her sentiments towards Humans, whom she thinks are heartless even though they have a physical heart.
