Netflix has started producing various original animation series and one of them is the new ONA, Eden.
Eden is said to be a sci-fi and fantasy anime series created by Justin Leach. Moreover, Yasuhiro Irie is directing the anime.
1. Premiere Date
After Netflix announced that they were going to release a new anime under the directors Justin Leach and Yasuhiro Irie, fans couldn’t be happier.
Netflix has confirmed that the ONA Eden is in production. The science fiction series set in a dystopian future will be premiering on May 27, 2021.

I. About the Studio
Qubic Pictures and CGCG Studios are bringing life to EDEN into a series. Eden is the creation of Justin Leach who has worked on Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Director Yasuhiro Irie is famous for his work on the world-renowned anime series Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Soul Eater, Cowboy Bebop and many others.
Kevin Penkin announced that he would be working with Yasuhiro Irie for Eden and showed his enthusiasm on Twitter.
II. How popular would Eden be?
Eden stated to be Netflix’s next step to develop anime that can invoke similar acclaim and fan appeal as to that of the other anime. Though information regarding Eden is not abundant, it looks remarkable.
There are claims that Part 1 of Eden will only have 4 episodes, but the fans will have to wait to see exactly what the new ONA has in store for them. Fans are even more excited about the new anime after watching the new trailer and the staff of Eden.
III. Animation Quality
From the trailer, we can see that the art looks whimsical. Blending typical mecha styles with soft, Ghibli-esque character design.
The staff has put in a lot of thought to develop this style for the anime. It is compelling to notice that not all staff of Eden is Japanese, especially considering it’s an anime.
Eden will feature character and lead concept designs by Toshihiro Kawamoto and Christophe Ferreira, a screenplay by Kimiko Ueno, background art direction by Clover Xie, and music composed by Kevin Penkin.

There is an official teaser trailer of Eden that is already out.
The new trailer leaves us with a mixed feeling showing us different glimpses of Sarah trying to find out the answer to her question and Zero trying to destroy the last of humanity.
This trailer reveals how the robot overlord, Zero, will stop at nothing to exterminate all humans.

5. Expected Storyline
Eden is a 4 episode Netflix Original Anime. The premise of the show is around a little girl called Sara Grace.
In a world, thousands of years in the future, where there are no humans and only robots roam the lands, a little girl is found by 2 farming robots in a small, calm city of Eden 3.
The 2 robots, afraid of the consequences and fear of others finding the human girl, raise her as their own in a haven called Eden. The story is set around Sara as she grows and questions her existence as a human.
