Dune: Prophecy Cast and Character Guide

HBO’s Dune: Prophecy offers a captivating glimpse into the universe of Dune, set 10,000 years before the rise of Paul Atreides.

This prequel series dives deep into the origins of the Bene Gesserit and the power struggles of the Imperium. With a sprawling cast and intricate lore, navigating this world might seem daunting — but don’t worry! Here’s your ultimate character guide to help you master the world of Dune: Prophecy.

Meet the Sisterhood: Power Players of Wallach IX

The heart of Dune: Prophecy lies on Wallach IX, where the Sisterhood (later known as the Bene Gesserit) is shaping its destiny.

Adapted from Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson, the series follows this shadowy group as they train Truthsayers and wield influence across the Imperium. Here’s who you need to know:

Mother Superior Valya Harkonnen (Emily Watson)

As the leader of the Sisterhood, Valya is determined to make her order an unstoppable force.

She’s also on a mission to restore House Harkonnen’s reputation, tarnished after the Butlerian Jihad, and has a long-standing grudge against House Atreides.

Reverend Mother Tula Harkonnen (Olivia Williams)

Valya’s younger sister, Tula, is fiercely loyal but faces challenges as a rising threat could divide the siblings.

Reverend Mother Kasha (Jihae)

A trusted ally of Valya and Tula, Kasha serves as the Truthsayer for Emperor Javicco Corrino, giving her unique access to the Imperial court.

Sister Francesca (Tabu)

Once romantically linked to the Emperor, Francesca’s ties to the Sisterhood and the royal family make her a fascinating figure in this intricate web of alliances.

Rising Stars: Acolytes of the Sisterhood

The future of the Sisterhood lies with its acolytes, who each bring unique strengths and secrets:

Sister Theodosia (Jade Anouka)

Ambitious and disciplined, Theo hides a dangerous secret that could shake the foundations of the Sisterhood.

Sister Jen (Faoileann Cunningham)

Skeptical and emotionally guarded, Jen’s unpredictable nature makes her a wildcard within the Sisterhood.

Sister Emeline (Aoife Hinds)

A devout follower of the Butlerian anti-technology creed, Emeline often turns to the Orange Catholic Bible for guidance.

Sister Lila (Chloe Lea)

The youngest acolyte, Lila’s empathy and kindness may be her greatest strengths — or vulnerabilities.

The Imperial Royal Family of Salusa Secundus

Once an abundant paradise, Salusa Secundus is the seat of House Corrino. Meet the key players of the royal family:

Emperor Javicco Corrino (Mark Strong)

Tasked with maintaining peace post-Butlerian Jihad, Javicco’s hold on power is tenuous, especially with Arrakis slipping from his grasp.

Empress Natalya Arat Corrino (Jodhi May)

With a strategic mind and steadying presence, Natalya yearns for more influence as her husband increasingly ignores her counsel.

Princess Ynez Corrino (Sarah-Sofie Boussnina)

Determined to make history as the first Sister to ascend the throne, Ynez undergoes rigorous training with the Sisterhood.

Constantine Corrino (Josh Heuston)

The Emperor’s illegitimate son, Constantine, navigates the fine line between pleasing his father and enjoying a life of indulgence.

The Outsiders: Intriguing Allies and Enemies

The royal family’s world is enriched (and complicated) by these enigmatic figures:

Desmond Hart (Travis Fimmel)

Desmond, a charismatic soldier with a mysterious power, brings alarming news from Arrakis and harbors a deadly vendetta against the Sisterhood.

Keiran Atreides (Chris Mason)

A Swordmaster loyal to House Corrino, Keiran shares a close (and possibly romantic) bond with Ynez, hinting at deeper tensions between Houses Atreides and Corrino.

Mikaela (Shalom Brune-Franklin)

A Fremen woman working in Salusa Secundus’s spice trade, Mikaela has her hidden agenda that could disrupt the power dynamics of the Imperium.
