Episode 8 of Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai titled “Furfang Full Assault” starts as Dai senses some trouble brewing in Romos Kingdom. Dai and Popp decide to head back to the island when Maam insists on tagging along with them.
Maam declares that she being a disciple of Avan makes her their senior and she will help carry out Master Avan’s orders.
Later, Crocodine and Furfang army invades the Kingdom attacking every citizen and Hero they can find. Crocodine uses the box of spells provided by Zaboera and attacks Dai and his team making them lose the battle.

Episode 9 of the Dragon Quest anime, titled “A Single Shard of Courage”, has been released on Saturday, Nov 28, 2020 at 9:30 am PDT.

2. Episode 9 Speculation
A small preview of Episode 9 was shown at the end of the eight episode.
Dai is unable to defeat Crocodine due to his incredible amount of power and Maam is immobilized by Zaboera. Popp is far away from the battlefield but he is the only hope in rescuing Dai and Maam from the hands of Crocodine.
Popp will definitely come to his friends’ aid and assist them but he not only has to defeat Crocodine but also fight Zaboera to save Maam.

3. Episode 8 Recap
The three reach Romos Kingdom at midnight but are denied entry to the castle. The guards explain the Kingdom being overrun by monsters has made the guards take strict measures to increase security and they can only meet the king during daytime.
Dai, Popp and Maam decide to stay the night at a nearby hotel much to Popp’s disappointment. The hotel owner suspicious of Dai’s age asks for their parents. Popp explains that they are heroes on a quest to fight the Dark Lord Hadlar’s Army.
The owner in a delighted tone informs them of other heroes residing in the hotel as well. Dai wants to meet the said heroes but Maam tells him not to at such a time.
Dai ignores Maam’s warning and goes off to meet the heroes only to find some villains Dai had previously fought pretending to be heroes.
The flustered heroes explain that they have forsaken their evil ways and now they help people and do well for others. They say that they defeat weak monsters and earn rewards.
The next morning Crocodine and Furfang army are seen attacking the castle and targeting innocent citizens. Dai and his crew try to help but are overwhelmed with the vast number of monsters and Crocodine’s strength.
Later, Crocodine uses the box of magic he received from Zaboera and poisons Brass to gain leverage against Dai. The battle to save the Kingdom of Romos continues till an exhausted Dai takes a hit and falls on his back.

Dragon Quest is an anime and manga series based on the rpg video game of the same name.
The story features Dai, a boy living in the Dermline Islands and his quest of becoming a hero and realizing his powers and helping Princess Leona along the way.
The games were adapted into two major television series. Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai is the remake of the 1991 series which had 46 episodes in total.
