Dragon Quest Episode 63: Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

Episode 62 of Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, titled “The Cave of Trials,” is the latest installment of the anime.

In this episode, Queen Flora leads the girls into the cave of trials to obtain the Kaglimmer. They need to travel 25 floors underground in order to accomplish their mission.

At first, everything seems to be fine, but the ground beneath their feet suddenly erupts on the 18th floor.

As Flora and the others are in the cave, Dai trains with Nova and masters the Avan Strash. He is determined to become strong enough to defeat King Vearn.

Meanwhile, Popp becomes insecure about his Insignia not glowing after watching his friends’ Insignias glow.

Will Flora and the others make it back in time to save Hyunckel and Crocodine? How will Popp make his Insignia glow? We’ll find out in the next episode.

Episode 63 Speculation

In the next episode, Dai continues to train with Nova and discovers a new attack. We might see his new move combining the elements of Avan’s training and the techniques he learned from his father.

Popp might go to extreme lengths to make his Insignia glow. Maybe he’ll discover that his true strength isn’t what he expects it to be. Leona and the others will face many dangerous monsters but reach the 25th level where the Kaglimmer can be found.

Episode 62 Recap

The episode begins with Dai and his friends arriving at a fortress near the cave of trials.  The cave of trials is created by the Gods. It is a place that contains all magic that counters the evil powers. Queen Flora built this fort believing that they would eventually need to use the cave.

According to an ancient Tome, the Gods did not approve of people having more power than they deserved and hence, built a complex labyrinth that extends underground to test their abilities. The cave has multiple levels, and the deeper levels hold spells of great power.

The paths become increasingly complicated with more traps and monsters. Despite the cave not being suitable for the inexperienced, Maam expresses how they must venture into it to obtain Kaglimmer.

By casting spells in a group, Kaglimmer increases in power. The casters should use the Mysticite and stand in a pentagonal arrangement to achieve maximum strength. Popp remarks that this might be why they need five Disciples of Avan.

Dai disagrees and comments on how he feels Leona shouldn’t join them. He says that she’s just an ordinary girl and not a warrior. Also, being the princess of Papnica, her safety should not be compromised.

Amy argues that Leona is just as strong as the others, and he shouldn’t belittle her. Maam interrupts them and says that Dai doesn’t mean to be disrespectful and wants Leona to stay away from King Vearn.

Flora and Leona soon enter, and the girl gang gets ready for their expedition to the caves. While they’re getting prepared, Popp eavesdrops on them and overhears Flora telling the others how their Insignias will glow to match the color of their soul. Maam’s Insignia glows red, signifying her empathy.

Popp is excited to see how his Insignia will glow but gets disappointed quickly when it doesn’t glow at all. He decides to see Dai to check if his Insignia is glowing or not.

Dai is training with Nova to sharpen his skills using the book of Avan. He masters the Avan Strash and continues working hard to defeat King Vearn. Popp looks at him training and notices a slight bluish glow on his Insignia. Dejected, he runs off to a secluded area to train alone.

Back at the cave, the girls make their way to the 25th floor. They only have ten hours left to obtain the Kaglimmer and make it back to save Crocodine and Hyunckel. Flora notes that they’re running short on time and must hurry up.

As they descend further, Amy senses danger on the 18th floor. Just as she warns the others, the floor collapses, and they all fall into unknown territory.

About Dragon Quest: Dai no Daiboken (2020)

Dragon Quest is an anime and manga series based on the rpg video game of the same name.

The story features Dai, a boy living in the Dermline Islands and his quest of becoming a hero and realizing his powers and helping Princess Leona along the way.

The games were adapted into two major television series. Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai is the remake of the 1991 series which had 46 episodes in total.
