Fans of Dragon Ball Super now have reason to celebrate as the popular manga has been confirmed to return from its break. The death of Akira Toriyama has greatly shaken the entire anime community earlier this year. Despite this, the Dragon Ball series will continue with more thrilling adventures and definitely more intense battles.

With its comeback, fans can look forward to new storylines and fresh challenges for their favorite characters. As the return draws near, excitement is building for more of the high-energy action and memorable moments that have made the series a fan-favorite.

Dragon Ball Artist Confirms Return of the Manga

The entire Dragon Ball franchise and the anime community were hit with a huge blow this year when Akira Toriyama, the author of Dragon Ball, passed away. This has caused most to think that the franchise has come to an end, however, this may not be the case.

In a recent interview, the artist of the Dragon Ball manga, Toyotaro, had a nostalgic conversation about the best fights in the Dragon Ball franchise. This topic was related to a certain fan poll made regarding the best Dragon Ball fights.

The Toyotaro interview

In the interview, Toyotaro excitedly said that he is going to create many more action scenes in the future. He also stated that the Dragon Ball Super story is far from getting over. This must be true since Toyotaro has worked closely with Akira for several years.

Where Did The Manga Stop?

The Dragon Ball Super manga went into a hiatus after the release of chapter 103. This chapter was released shortly after the authors death and the manga’s hiatus was officially declared by Shueisha (the publishing company) after this.

Chapter 103, titled “A Legacy Toward the Future” featured a sparring session between Gohan and his father, Goku.

The father and son showed the fruits of their individual training in their fight. Goku found massive growth in Gohan, especially because Gohan managed to land a clean strike to Goku’s stomach.

Following this, Goku sparred with Broly, who had been admiring their fight from afar. In this fight too, Broly managed to surprise everyone with his growth. However, his control over power didn’t seem to be as flawless as Gohan’s.

Meanwhile, Vegeta, who was watching from the sidelines, decided to take part in the sparring session and chose to fight Gohan, who was overjoyed to see the sudden interest everyone was taking in him.

Multiple people joined this battle, including Goku, and this ended up being an entire slugfest, which ultimately destroyed the planet they were on.

The chapter ended in light-hearted spirit after everyone gathered and had dinner together. After they ate the dinner cooked by Lemo, the lot repaired the damages they made and decided to go back home.
