In chapter 78, titled “Gas’s Wish,” the Heeters took it into their own hands to deal with the situation. Elec made a wish with the dragon to fulfill their desires with Gas.
The Heeters revealed a robust Gas that shocked Granolah and the Saiyans. Oatmeal realized the Heeters made a wish to gain power. Gas fought intensely with Granolah and Goku.
Goku told Vegeta to use the last Senzu Bean to defeat Gas. Vegeta planned differently and told Granolah to eat the Senzu Bean.

1. Chapter 79 Raw Scans and Leaks
The raw scans and spoilers of chapter 79 of Dragon Ball Super are out. The official website of the manga has revealed a limited time sneak peek to the upcoming chapter’s storyboards.
Granolah can be seen accepting the senzu bean that Vegeta gives him to fight against Gas. He instantly heals his previous fatigue and joins in the fray. He pushes away Macki and Oil from Monaito and immediately blasts them away.
Goku on the other hand gets cornered by Gas. When Gas sees Macki and Oil defeated, he gets enraged. Monaito then hands over Granolah’s eyepatch to him. After wearing it, his eye starts to glow. Granolah and Gas are about to battle in the next chapter.
2. Chapter 79 Discussion
Granolah and the Saiyans will ensure the Heeters are dealt with for their past actions. Vegeta gave into his Saiyan pride and made a noble choice. His character development is far beyond the usual rude gestures.
Granolah has a chance to bring justice for his mother and the Cerealians. Will he take the Senzu Bean and fight Gas? Are Goku and Vegeta going to support Granolah in this fight? The next chapter might give us the answers if they team up.
It seems the battle is only starting with the Heeters. Even though Gas was strong enough, Elec made a wish to make Gas the strongest. Why does it feel like Elec has some other motives beyond the plans?

3. Chapter 79 Release Date
Chapter 79 of the Dragon Ball Super manga has been released on Monday, Dec 20, 2021. The chapter title has not been leaked yet.
I. Is Dragon Ball Super on Break This Month?
Chapter 79 of Dragon Ball Super is not on a break this month. It will continue in the next issue of the Monthly Shonen Jump as usual. No such delay is announced.
Dragon Ball Super manga is published under Ultra Jump magazine, which comes out on the 20th of every month.
4. Recap of Chapter 78
This chapter starts with the Heeters looking for the last dragon ball. Macki reports to Elec that the situation changed with the Namekian interfering in the Saiyan battle. Elec realizes it’s Monaito (Oatmeal), and Gas suggests he’ll kill them.
With Macki supporting the idea, Elec lets them finish the job. He also says he’s going to meet the dragon for a wish. Macki hands over the dragon ball radar and summoning spell. Elec states that Gas’s wish will be fulfilled, and the Heeters will accomplish its goals.
Meanwhile, Granolah is stunned that Oatmeal kept him in the dark about Elec killing his mother. He gets upset that he worked under his mother’s killers all this time. Vegeta asks if Bardock won the fight with Gas as Goku calms Oatmeal and Granolah down.
Oatmeal reveals Bardock did win, and Goku is happy about it. Vegeta, knowing Bardock was a low-class warrior, wonders if Gas was weak. As Oatmeal speaks about Gas being strong back then, the sky darkens. He then realizes the dragon is being summoned for a wish.
Elec is seen in front of a dragon and is amazed by its presence. Goku and Vegeta sense an enormous power signature heading their way with the sky back to normal. Macki and Oil appear, revealing their plans are in full swing.
Granolah stated that they tried to use the Saiyans to get rid of him. They reply that he had to be taken out, given that he’s the strongest in the universe. Macki mentions that Granolah isn’t the only one who can make wishes.
Macki and Oil then reveal the new strongest warrior in the universe. Gas is seen as stronger with a more pronounced physique. Oatmeal fears that the Heeters have used the dragon balls. Vegeta and Goku also discover that Granolah used the dragon balls to be the strongest in the universe.
Gas fires a powerful beam from his fingertips, almost killing them, but it hits Granolah’s spaceship. He then forms a four-pointed spear with his energy and throws it at Granolah. The spear hits Granolah’s limbs and pins him against the spaceship.
Gas goes closer to Granolah and says the Heeters don’t need muscles like him anymore. As he tries to kill Granolah, Goku attacks Gas but gets caught with heavy energy blocks. Gas, realizing Goku is Bardock’s son, finds out Bardock is already dead.
Goku then asks why would the heeters want to kill them. Gas replies that it is because they will spoil their plans. Gas forms an ax with his energy and tries to kill Goku. As he swings the ax, Gas gets hit by an energy ball shot from Granolah.
Stating that the strongest’s title is his, Granolah gets attacked by Gas with an energy mace. Oatmeal manages to break the energy blocks on Goku and heals him. He requests Goku to save Granolah, to which Goku agrees.
While Gas and Granolah fight, Granolah thinks back to when Elec saw potential in him and asked him to work for the Heeters. Even though Oatmeal knew what the Heeters did, he let Granolah work for them to survive.
Oatmeal tells Goku he had made the wrong choice to serve the Heeters. Goku then realizes there’s a Senzu Bean left and asks Vegeta about it. Vegeta recalls he left it in his armor, which could be anywhere in the area.
As Granolah gets knocked out cold, Goku tells Vegeta to find the armor. He states to consume the Senzu Bean when he gets it to go up against Gas with his new freaky face mode (Ultra Ego form). Goku goes against Gas to stall till Vegeta makes it to the fight.
Gas tries to stab Goku with an energy knife, but he stops it. As Goku and Gas get into an intense fight, Goku fires an energy attack at Gas. Realizing Gas avoided the attack, Goku gets knocked from the back by Gas.
While Macki and Oil watch the fight, Oil finds Vegeta gone. Vegeta is seen finding the Senzu Bean, but he doesn’t have it. As Gas keeps attacking Goku, he feels he won’t last long if Vegeta isn’t back.
Vegeta is later seen next to Granolah. He wakes him up and tells him to eat the Senzu Bean. He tells Granolah to join the fight and settle his grudge using his full strength.
