Dragon Ball Daima Episode 15 Was The Worst Of Its Kind

Dragon Ball DAIMA has returned with its 15th episode of the anime, and surprisingly enough, the anime has let down the fans with a subpar episode. This was quite shocking as Dragon Ball DAIMA had consistent quality with its episodes until the last episode, but the latest episode saw a drastic drop in quality for many reasons.

In this article, we will cover all the reasons why episode 15 of Dragon Ball DAIMA was not up to the point and what issues fans around the globe have raised against the series regarding the progression of the plot, and the loopholes in it. This article does contain spoilers from the latest episode of the anime, so proceed cautiously if you haven’t caught up with the anime.

1. Goku Mysteroiusly Got Weaker

One of the initial episodes of Dragon Ball DAIMA featured Goku’s fight with the Gendarmerie, the military police of the royal palace, and Goku did not find it hard to deal with any number of soldiers of spacecraft in those episodes. He even went into super saiyan mode, which made him practically invincible in the demon world and powerful enough to defeat the Tamagami.

All this was proof of Goku’s incredible power that he still wielded despite being in the body of a child. However, in episode 15 of Dragon Ball DAIMA, Goku was overpowered by mere Gendarmerie, who he had previously defeated with ease. He even said it was harder to fight in his small body, which shouldn’t make sense as Goku had agreed to the fact that he was getting used to his smaller body.

This doesn’t simply apply to Goku, as all of Goku’s allies, including Glorio, were all really skilled fighters, but they were all seen in a miserable state in their fight against the Gendarmerie, which ended up tarnishing the name of the Z fighters.

2. Fighting Sequences Lost Their Legitimacy and Allure

The previous fights of Dragon Ball DAIMA have all glorified Goku, which was only expected as he was strong enough to defeat the Tamagami and Majin Buu. However, the latest episode of Dragon Ball DAIMA has seen a slight drop in quality. This drop in quality sticks out like a sore thumb when we get to see one of the strongest beings in the galaxy struggling to fight imperial guards.

It goes without saying that the fight would’ve ended immediately had Goku gone into his Saiyan mode initially, which he chose not to for no apparent reason. Although Goku and Vegeta didn’t hold back in their previous fights, they were completely submissive and had to get assisted by Pansy’s father had his lackeys, which just goes to show how the latest episode had cracks in the storyline, especially with the power scales.

3. King Gomah’s Unfair Powerup

One of the most ridiculous scenes in episode 15 of Dragon Ball DAIMA showed how King Gomah got a power-up randomly by doing no work at all. The anime provided a vague description of the artifact known as the evil third eye, but gave it an unacceptable entry into the story. While Goku had to travel across three demon worlds (over several episodes) just to be able to secure the prospect of turning back to adults, Gomah got a powerful artifact that was barely introduced in the story.

A hilariously ridiculous aspect of this is the method by which Gomah obtained the evil third eye. He asked Degesu to obtain the evil eye which was on Hybis by any discreet means. Degesu transformed into a woman to seduce Hybis into giving him the evil eye. While Hybis refused to exchange the evil eye for a kiss, he was more than glad to exchange it for a lame-looking hat.

4. What To Expect In Episode 16 of Dragon Ball DAIMA

The latest episode of Dragon Ball DAIMA has quite a lot of discrepancies, and this could have been made to accommodate the special forces that were introduced in the anime earlier. Since Goku was already proven to be extremely powerful, the series may have temporarily debuffed him so that the special troops hired by King Gomah could pose a threat to Goku, which could be a way of making the series exciting.

Besides this, both Degesu and Dr. Arinsu seem to be hiding something. While what Degesu has in mind isn’t quite evident yet, we know that Arinsu has a plan at the ready, which involves the dragon balls. However, her plans don’t necessarily factor in the well-being of the Demon World.

5. About Dragon Ball Daima

‘Dragon Ball Daima’ is the fifth anime installment in the Dragon Ball franchise. The series was announced during the Dragon Ball Special Panel at New York Comic Con 2023, and it is set to air in fall 2024.

The story and settings, as well as many of the designs, are handled by Akira Toriyama, the original creator of the Dragon Ball series. The title “Daima” is a made-up term, which would translate to “Evil” in English. However, the kanji used for Daima means “great” and “demon/magic.”

In this series, due to a conspiracy, Goku and his friends are turned small, and they head off to a new world. It’s a grand adventure with intense action in an unknown and mysterious world.
