Dr Stone anime adaptation has proven to be a successful idea, getting a rating of 4.6 out of 5 on Crunchyroll. The first season of Dr Stone was two cours composed of 24 episodes, the first episode debuted on July 5 and the second cour is about to finish with the final episode scheduled to air on December 13.
Dr Stone season 2 is not yet officially announced. However, the latest issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine included a tease stating that Dr Stone will have an ‘important’ announcement in the next issue of the magazine and fans believe it to be about Season 2.

Manga is currently in its 132nd chapter, with the anime having covered almost 50 chapters of the story. This means that there is more than enough material for Season 2 to exist but according to some fans, it might as well be a movie.
Dr Stone is also scheduled to have a stage presentation at the Jump Festa 2020 event on December 22. Weekly Shonen Jump’s next issue will be released on December 16, just a couple of days after Dr Stone’s final episode so it’s hard not to think that it’s about Season 2.
