The Science Kingdom takes on another challenge for the village, agriculture, in episode 1 of Dr. Stone: New World titled “New World Map.”
As Ryusui and Senku scour the unexplored and unmapped lands to find places of interest as well as sources of oil for a future where they can sail out to sea and find other islands, a new problem arises within the village.
With a history of food shortages causing the population of Ishigami village to remain at a standard level, the problem gets more critical as people get revived daily. Hence, Senku starts on a journey to boost the agriculture sector of the village.

Episode 2 Speculation
With the wheat farm finally made and the harvests properly growing, with neutralized soil and proper care, the time to make bread will finally arrive next episode. However, the bread-making process will be complicated, especially with no prior experience.
The first attempt by Senku to make bread will likely be a disaster, with either overburnt or completely unflavoured bread that no one will likely. He will either have to find someone within the village who was a past baker or revive a chef himself.
Episode 2 Release Date
Episode 2 of Dr.Stone: New World will be released on Thursday, April 13, 2023. It is a weekly anime, and new episodes are released every Thursday.

Recap of Episode 1
As Senku and the group return home on their hot air balloon, they’re welcomed with cheers and joy by the people released from the petrification.
Kohaku shows Ryusui around Ishigami village and gives him a tour of the town of Science, as well as Senku’s future goals, including a ship for which he would be the perfect captain.
For the ship to start, however, they do need fuel in the form of oil. As a welcome party for Senku and the gang, they get a supposedly extravagant meal which is mostly just multiple variations of grilled fish, making Ryusui frustrated with the state of the food progress in the present.
Kohaku tags along with Senku to find the Sagar oil fields and scope the terrain on their hot air balloon, and they also find a herd of wild goats that they could use to make better food. They map out the area they scoped so that they can quickly put it on the map.
Food shortages were prominent in the village before they arrived, which caused many unnecessary deaths. Ryusui and Senku decided they must start agriculture within the town to satisfy the growing population.
They come across a large wheat farm and prepare to start baking bread, the perfect food for long journeys and preserving purposes. Senku decided that the Kanto plains would be the ideal place to sow all the seeds and start their wheat farm.
Using Taiju’s endurance and the help of all the muscleheads in the village, they plow through the farm. Gen uses mental manipulation to excite the workers even more as he boosts their morale with some competitiveness added to the mix.
Over time, the wheat farm started growing, but only Taiju’s section properly sprouted since he used some powdered-up shells to neutralize the naturally acidic soil with the calcium that helped the wheat properly grow; this marks the start of the food revolution of Science Kingdom.
