I. Cleavage Surface in the Diamonds

Senku’s plan is to petrify the entire area when Stanley arrives, while one of them will stay out of this petrifying radius to depetrify the other crewmates back.

However, this plan isn’t possible until Senku’s team gets its hand on a diamond that can power up the medusa device. Despite their best efforts, Kaseki and Joel fail to recreate such a diamond.

Senku consoles Kaseki by saying that the information that something is wrong itself is very precious. Trial and Error method is only efficient if you know what is wrong and what is right.

After multiple attempts, Kaseki observes that the original diamonds have cracks around its centre, and all of them breaks exactly into two halves when struck with a hammer.

Xeno concludes that there might be a cleavage surface where the molecular binding is weak along the line connecting the diamond’s vertices. With this discovery, it’s a matter of time before Kaseki creates a working diamond.

II. Suika Gets Spotted by American Soldiers

Coming to the next part of the plan, Suika is chosen to be the one who will stay out of the petrifying radius. Kohaku is happy with this decision since it will keep Suika safe and away from the battle.

Moreover, Francois will be accompanying her for any additional support. After travelling along the river, they notice three canoes full of camouflaged troops on the shores, Ginro and Matsukaze are also with them as hostages.

Everything was going according to the plan till a huge sinister-looking Brazilian spider bit Charlotte, who collapses immediately. Suika rushes to save her, but Francois hesitates as helping her may give away their location.

Thanks to Senku’s science talks, Suika knows how to save her. She puts the nitroglycerine-soaked swab onto the bite, bringing Charlotte back to consciousness.

Charlotte wakes up, and thanks her for saving her life. But this little commotion in the forest draws the attention of American soldiers, who soon spot Suika and Charlotte amidst the forest.
