Fortnite has just rolled out one of the biggest updates in its history, bringing back some classic weapons that players have been missing. That’s right—the Kinetic Blade is making a comeback after two years, alongside the Lock-On Pistol and the reliable Ranger Assault Rifle.
These weapons fit perfectly with the current season’s Japanese theme. The great news is that getting your hands on them is quite easy, as there are plenty of ways to acquire these classics.
1. How to get the Ranger Assault Rifle in Fortnite?
Players can get the Ranger Assault Rifle Mythic in Battle Royale matches by taking down the teleporting Shogun X NPC Boss located on the map. It can also be found as floor loot and inside chests throughout the game.
The Ranger Assault Rifle, introduced in Chapter 3, Season 1, is a fully automatic weapon that fires slowly but accurately. It has an Uncommon rarity and deals 31 damage per shot. This rifle is reliable for medium-range attacks and offers balanced damage output.
2. How to get the Lock-On Pistol in Fortnite?
Players can get the Lock On Pistol in Battle Royale matches by finding it in floor loot, fishing, or discovering it in chests. This weapon can only be found in the Rare rarity tier.
The Lock On Pistol is a semi-automatic weapon that fires quickly. It has a special tracking system that activates when you aim down sights, marking targets within 50 meters. You can fire up to 4 bullets that are locked onto the target. The
4th bullet always hits as a critical shot. However, you cannot reload the pistol while aiming.
3. How to get the Kinetic Blade in Fortnite?
Players can get the Kinetic Blade during Battle Royale matches through floor loot, on Katana Stands, and within chests. This weapon is exclusively available in Epic Rarity.
The Kinetic Blade is a melee sword with two main attacks. The first is the Knockback Slash, which deals 35 damage and pushes enemies away. The second is the Dash Attack, where you charge forward to deal 60 damage.
You can use the Dash Attack three times, and it has a 10-second cooldown. The blade’s durability goes down by 5% each time you use the Dash Attack and by 1% for each Knockback Slash hit.
4. About Fortnite
Fortnite is an online video game developed by Epic Games and released in 2017. It is available in three distinct game mode versions that otherwise share the same general gameplay and game engine: Fortnite Battle Royale, a free-to-play battle royale game in which up to 100 players fight to be the last person standing;
Fortnite: Save the World, a cooperative hybrid tower defense-shooter and survival game in which up to four players fight off zombie-like creatures and defend objects with traps and fortifications they can build; and Fortnite Creative, in which players are given complete freedom to create worlds and battle arenas.
