Lockpicking in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II can be tedious, given its tricky situations and time constraints. The objective is to procure the object you want without getting caught. Sounds simple enough, right? Well, it is a bit more complicated than that. Worry not, here’s how you can lockpick in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
How to Lockpick in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II?
Lockpicking in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a game of precision.
As you begin, a circular lock will pop up on your screen. You need to move the focus point to the right spot using a button. It will grow in size as you move closer and finally turn golden when it’s in the correct position. Once the point is where it should be, the lock can be rotated until it unlocks.

If you mess up, it will create a loud noise and attract attention. You can get caught by bystanders if they notice the ruckus.
Lockpicking Difficulties
There are different types of locks in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, categorized according to their difficulty level:
- Very Easy
- Easy
- Medium
- Hard
- Very Hard
The higher the difficulty level, the more precise it will be. Either the focus point will be minute or the lock will be needed to rotate further than usual.
Skills to Master Lockpicking
There are certain skills which will help you tackle even the most difficult locks.

Title | Skill | Required Level | Description |
Locksmith | Craftsmanship | 12 | It will be easier to lockpick with this acquired skill. |
Silent Fiddler | Thievery | 6 | If lockpicking goes south, the sound made will be reduced by 75%. |
Tool Master | Thievery | 8 | Lockpicks will be more durable and last longer by 15%. |
If you don’t want to toil the extra hours, you can just chug some Quickfinger to temporarily boost your Thievery skill.

How to Get More Lockpicks?
At the beginning of the game, you will only have a few lockpicks at your disposal. Here’s how to get more lockpicks:
You can purchase lockpicks from blacksmiths. They always have plenty in stock. Since you will be buying more than one, it can be a bit heavy on your wallet.
If you don’t want to spend Groschen, you can also get lockpicks from smithing weapons.
With the Locksmith skill, every successful forged item will give you extra lockpicks. Great way to make use of the scrap Iron!
That’s all. Sharpen your lockpicking skills and most importantly, don’t get caught!
