At the beginning of the series, Takemichi’s primary goal is to save Hina. But when he spends more time with other Toman members and becomes closer to them, he decides to save them as well.
Over half of the main cast of Tokyo Revengers die at least once throughout the series. Takemichi attempts to save them in every timeline, but he fails quite often.
Takemichi does save every character in the final timeline of Tokyo Revengers. Takemichi achieves this feat by forming Toman together with Mikey and taking up the mission to protect everyone during the Kanto Manji arc.
Check out how Takemichi saves his girlfriend and best friends at the end of Tokyo Revengers
1. Does Takemichi save Hinata Tachibana?
Takemichi fails to save Hina in nearly every timeline. She always falls victim to Kisaki’s schemes.
When Takemichi finally realizes that Kisaki is the real culprit behind her murders, he tries to kill Kisaki to save Hina. But by pure stroke of luck, Kisaki dies in an accident during the Tenjiku arc instead. His death prevents Hina’s death in the future timelines.
2. Does Takemichi save Mikey?
Mikey was one of the few characters who were originally alive in the first timeline. But when Takemichi starts to change the flow of events to change Hina, his fate is altered.
Naoto and Takemichi try to hunt down Mikey in Manila after they come to know that Mikey has killed all Toman members in the 14th time leap. When they finally meet him, Naoto shoots him when he threatens to kill Takemichi.
Takemichi realizes that if he wants to rescue Mikey, he needs to fix all the tragedies that Mikey experienced throughout his life. He decides to go back in time with Mikey for the last time.
Takemichi saves Mikey in the final time leap by befriending him as a child. He stops Mikey from giving in to his dark impulses by preventing the deaths of Shinichiro, Baji, and Draken.
3. Does Takemichi save Draken?
Just like Hina, Draken was originally dead in the first timeline. He died after he was stabbed to death on 3rd August in a clash against Moebius.
He dies yet again in chapter 224 when he shields Takemichi from the bullets shot by the Rokuhara Tandai gang. But fear not, Draken’s death isn’t permanent.
In chapter 277, Takemichi travels back in time to fix the final timeline. He changes the fate of every motorbike gang and establishes friendly relationships with them. Consequently, Draken is saved because Toman doesn’t fight any of the gangs who killed him.
4. Does Takemichi save Tetta Kisaki?
Everyone thought that Kisaki was permanently dead after he died in an accident during the Tenjiku arc.
But to everyone’s surprise, he makes a comeback in the final arc of the manga. Takemichi befriends him and makes him a founding member of Toman, which ultimately averts him from the path of villainy. His reformation prevents his own death as well.
In the new timeline, Kisaki is a successful businessman who owns the TK&KO group.
5. Does Takemichi save Baji?
Keisuke Baji was one of the few characters that died pretty early on in the series. Baji dies during the Toman versus Valhalla battle. He gets stabbed by Kazutora and then stabs himself later on, which leads to severe blood loss.
Baji isn’t revived until the final timeline. When Takemichi befriends Kisaki, the Valhalla from the previous timelines ceases to exist in the final timeline. Valhalla’s erasure saves Baji because the Toman versus Valhalla battle doesn’t occur in the first place.
Baji gives up his gang life when Toman gets dissolved and joins Chifuyu’s vetting company as an adult.
6. Does Takemichi save Shinichiro Sano?
To change the fate of Baji, Mikey, and Kazutora, Takemichi decides to save Shinichiro when he travels back in time with Mikey.
Takemichi and Mikey save Shinichiro by pushing him to gift Mikey the bike he always wished for. Shinichiro gifts CB250T to Mikey before Baji and Kazutora can break into his shop and kill him.
7. Does Takemichi save Emma Sano?
Takemichi’s final time leap once again saves an innocent party who lost her life in the earlier timelines.
Emma died in chapter 147 when Kisaki attacked her under Izana’s orders. Her death shocks everyone, especially Draken.
Takemichi saves Emma by using his influence to reconcile Toman with Tenjiku in the final timeline. Since Tenjiku no longer bears hostility towards Toman, Izana and Kisaki never attempt to kill Emma, which ultimately revives her.
8. Does Takemichi save Izana Kurokawa?
Izana Kurokawa, the adoptive brother of the Sano siblings, was killed by Kisaki’s gun when he tried to protect Kakucho from the incoming bullets. Though Izana acted as a powerful antagonist throughout the series, many fans wanted to see him again.
Takemichi’s final time leap revives Izana in the end. Tenjiku is on friendly terms with Toman in the new timeline, so he doesn’t die even though Toman and Tenjiku fight each other every now and then.
It seems his relationship with the Sano siblings is rightfully mended in the final arc as well since he’s shown happily talking with Emma in a panel of chapter 278.
9. Does Takemichi save Taiju Shiba?
The relationship between the Shiba siblings is quite dysfunctional. In the first timeline, Taiju Shiba physically abuses his siblings, Hakkai and Yuzuha. The abuse gradually makes them hate him, and he eventually dies at the hands of Yuzuha in the first timeline.
Takemichi intervenes during the Yuzuha and Hakkai versus Taiju fight. He constantly stops Hakkai and Yuzuha from stabbing Taiju. He stalls them long enough till Mikey arrives. Mikey defeats Taiju easily and stops their fight, saving Taiju.
10. Does Takemichi Naoto Tachibana?
Naoto is the one and only constant ally of Takemichi, who aids him in the mission to save his sister. Naoto was originally a victim of the Toman-related dispute in the first timeline, just like Hina.
When Takemichi confesses to a young Naoto about his time-travel abilities and Hina’s death in the first time leap, Naoto decides to form an alliance with Takemichi. Takemichi’s confession saves Naoto, and he becomes a detective to save Hina.
In the final timeline, after Hina is saved, Naoto becomes a journalist instead.
