All eight episodes of Amazon’s smash hit Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan have already arrived on Prime Video. Based on the audience reception, it is fair to call this a thrill ride from start to finish.
Well, that might not be the case for some of the characters involved.
So, who made it through the finale in one piece?
The most important thing, at least for us, is that we do still have Jack Ryan and Greer. Although sacrifice was a theme of the season, these two found a way, yet again, to survive amidst a story full of espionage, international intrigue, and threats of a coup.
Does Ryan leave in Season 3?
At the end of Season 3, Jack Ryan is back in the agency, Mike November returns to his home in Greece, and Greer is also still with the CIA. For the time being, Jack is in Rome, unless Jim, who is still COS Moscow, decides to bring him over.
So, for the fans having doubts over Jack Ryan’s future, he is very much alive and not leaving any time soon. Fans should start gearing up for the final season, which might decide Ryan’s fate.
The Season 3 finale revealed that the red notice was rescinded from Jack Ryan’s record and that he and James Greer returned to CIA Headquarters in Langley to receive medals from the new Director, Elizabeth Wright.
The season finale had all the characters going in different directions to stop a third world war. Greer (Wendell Pierce), November (Michael Kelly), and President Kovac (Nina Hoss) are now headed to Kremlin tunnels in Moscow.
Elizabeth is in a situation room with the President, trying to convince him to finally let her back in the conversation. And Jack (John Krasinski) is trying to land on a heavily armed United States Navy ship in the Baltic Sea. At the same time, Luka (James Cosmo) is headed to the destroyer, where his former soldier is commanding.
There was a lot that happened, and things did look bad for a hot second. But seeing John Krasinski and Wendell Pierce’s characters walk out of the CIA building together, but not before passing the stars of those who died on the job, was well worth it.
Does Ryan manage to get on board the S.S. Roosevelt?
Yes, Ryan manages to board the S.S. Roosevelt.
We all know that Ryan is on his way to board the S.S. Roosevelt, which is currently at sea. When he tries to reach the ship by helicopter, the captain of the Roosevelt doesn’t allow him to come aboard.
So, he is ultimately thrown out of the helicopter, and since the Roosevelt is the only vessel close to him, they are compelled to pick him up.
The captain has a hard time believing what Ryan is saying, but when The Fearless starts prepping for the attack, all hell breaks loose.
Jack Ryan Season 3
Season 3 shows Jack Ryan trying to avert war while escaping from the laws of his own country. He is convicted of treason, but will this stop him from doing what’s necessary? With help from his friends Jim Greer and Mike November, Jack goes across Europe to prevent a catastrophe that could have long-term consequences.
The exciting new season brings some new conflicts for our protagonist, this time in the form of America’s sworn enemy, Russia. It was working on Project Sokol, which involved manufacturing a nuclear weapon that would be invisible to radar.
Now, the program has been reactivated, and the weapon has been developed. The location of the weapon is unknown. In case of fruition, it will bring about a war between America and Russia.
Even before Season 3 was released, fans knew there would be a potential Season 4 down the road. With all that in mind, there wasn’t necessarily all that much suspense when it came to Jack’s survival.
But the potential cliffhangers and twists hinted at something where we would see things pick up in the new season. Yet, the plan instead seems to be for the fourth season to pick up with some of these characters in a different place, one that almost certainly will come with its fair share of challenges.
We’ll have to see if these episodes end up being as prescient or timely as what we had in Season 3. The fans are already excited and have started devising their theories regarding the fourth season.
