Does Lucifer Become God In Season 6?

Lucifer Season 6 began right where it left off in the previous season. Lucifer is about to become God, and life is going to be fantastic again. But things are not quite sorted yet. We see Rory time travel, Dan come back as a ghost, and a bunch of other wild things happen that take our beloved devil on one last emotional journey.

The question remains does Lucifer become God at the end of season 6?

Well, it was never going to be that simple, right? Not only would that be a bland ending with no drama, but it also wouldn’t fit Lucifer’s persona to be god. He is just way too badass for that. People did not like the ending for several characters, and yes, there were a few mistakes in Lucifer Season 6, but it’s not that bad. In fact, there are so many aspects I absolutely loved.

Having said that, it is safe to say that the closure to Lucifer does put a gentle smile on our faces.

Lucifer does not become God in season 6. Instead, he becomes a counselor for souls in hell, trying to help them cope, get better, and redeem themselves. Amenadiel becomes god instead and sits on his silver throne in heaven.

I think Lucifer becoming a counselor is only fitting, and the creators explain it well. He himself was someone terrible, but through the show evolved to become someone better. After all, he got so much better that he was offered the silver throne of God in heaven.

He realized this after stopping Rory from killing Le Mec. As cheesy as it sounds, if he could save his daughter’s soul by not letting her do the deed, he could also save the other souls. Rory realizes this is why he wasn’t present for all those years while she was growing up. He was busy saving souls in hell that needed a healer. Amenadiel leaves his job and sits on the silver throne in heaven as God.

Everything is fitting in this finale except for Chloe and Lucifer’s arc. It’s not even about the two not being able to stay together but just that there was no logic explained as to why he couldn’t be there with his family.

Perhaps it was the writers’ way of making something bittersweet? Either way, it seemed just a tad bit forced. I think it’s safe to say the rest of the characters ended where they would be happy. I’m even glad that Dan got into heaven and is reunited with Charolette. The two make a good pair.

Well, now that the finale has ended, I can finally rest. Lucifer writers tied all loose ends pretty well and gave us an emotional goodbye. It was difficult, so I rewatched the entire thing, and maybe you can too. Until next time.
