Doctor Who: Flux is Jodie Whittaker’s last ride as the Doctor, and to be honest, Chris Chibnall is making sure it’s epic. The trailer for Doctor Who season 13, released on October 16, shows Whittaker and her team gear up for an iconic battle.
The Doctor has been warning people about the Flux even before the teaser was released. Now we know why. The Flux is the most powerful battle that Doctor and her team will have to fight.
The trailer shows a glimpse of all the faces we will see in the upcoming season. While we’ll jump to the creepy-looking creatures later, let’s talk about the humans first.
We’ve got Yasmine Khan (Mandip Gill), the Doctor’s companion, back. A plumber from Liverpool named Dan Lewis (John Bishop), Vinder (Jacob Anderson), and many other guests join hands with the Doctor too.
What has every Doctor Who fan excited is undoubtedly the comeback of various iconic villains. And it’s not just one or two. It’s an entire crew that now the Doctor will have to fight.
We’ve got the new-designed Sontarans, Cybermen, Weeping Angels, and the least expected, Ood. There’s also a new creature – a furry sort of half-dog, half-sloth – among many. Fans also think Daleks will feature in the season too, sooner or later.
Explosions, a whole lot of running, a mysterious smoke engulfing Earth, a legit battle, time-traveling, and of course, emotions await fans as Whittaker embarks on an epic adventure throughout the six episodes.
One thing fans missed the most about Doctor Who was having a single story arc throughout the show. And as Chibnall says goodbye to the show, he’s offering fans almost everything they would like.
The trailer receives positive reviews from many fans as they’re super excited for the show to begin. Well, after knowing who’s returning, who isn’t?
The final fight has begun. Check out the trailer below:
Doctor Who: Flux will premiere on October 31, 2021.
