Kunou, the Do Not Say Mystery manga’s protagonist, is an average high school student with not-so-average observance skills. With remarkable memory and crazy deduction abilities, he might just be the new revolution in the live-action series’ detective genre.
Yet, the boy is more interested in making curries than becoming a detective. However, once his skills have been discovered, Kunou’s life is going to become a bit busier than usual.
The Do Not Say Mystery manga is set to receive a live-action series adaptation that will premiere in January 2022. The series will air on Fuji TV every Monday. Drama lovers will adore this boy’s skills, who can put even veteran police officers to shame.
The manga consists of Kuono getting involved with separate cases in each chapter, and the chapters are pretty long as well. Thus the upcoming series will also not be limited to a single case but will solve several cases.
Masaki Suda has been cast as Totono Kunou in the live-action adaptation series. The permed hairstyle of Kunou looks quite cute on Suda.
His famous roles include Hiiragi Ibuki in the drama, 3 Nen A Gumi: Ima kara Mina-san wa, Hitojichi Desu, and Takaiwa Haruto in Konto ga Hajimaru. Fans of the original manga will get to see Suda as Kunou making curry every morning before getting dragged into something weird.
It is a pre-produced drama that has completed filming in 2021 itself. Thus fans don’t have to be worried about any delays in broadcasting.
All in all, Do Not Say Mystery is a pretty solid manga, and I believe that its drama will be gripping as well. The very first case will take place when Kunou gets arrested as a suspect in a murder case!

Do Not Say Mystery manga by Yumi Tamura started serialization in the Monthly Flowers magazine in 2017. It is getting adapted into a live-action series in 2022.
