In episode 5 of Do It Yourself, Kokoro joins the club as an outside member. The members plan to make a tree house to make other people interested in joining the club. They gather the materials required for making the tree house. Kokoro has been a great help to them.
They have completed the wooden shelves out of the pallets they brought. Kokoro asks if Miku wants to join the club, which she refuses, saying she is not interested.

Episode 6 Speculation
Now one more member is needed for the DIY club to be recognized by the school. Though Kokoro joins the club, she is not from the same school, so she cannot be counted as an official member. We can hope for them to get members from their school itself.
Kokoro seems to be a great help to the DIY club. She is strong and can do tiring tasks easily. Miku might also be interested in the DIY club, though she refuses to accept that. She will most probably join the club soon.
The girls are excited to build the tree house and have even planned on the materials and costs of it. We have to wait till the next episode for further details on the tree house.

Recap of Episode 5
We get a glimpse of Kokoro dressed in traditional attire back in her hometown to receive some guests. Kokoro does not like to get dressed up, while her mother complains about her not being as dutiful and refined as her siblings.
Kokoro enters the DIY clubhouse from the roof, shocking everyone present there. She greets everyone and tells them she came to play. Kokoro praises the vase hanger made by Takumi.
Yua Serefu introduces herself to Kokoro. Her name sounds similar to ‘yourself’ in ‘Do it yourself.’ That is why Yua always gets excited to present herself as a member of the DIY club.
Kokoro seems to have disabled the security cameras in the school to come there. Jobko gets interested in that topic. They briefly discuss the security system’s weak spot and inform the security company about it.
As Kokoro starts discussing making a tree house with the other members, Yasaku tells her not to act friendly with the members. It is Gataga Girls High School DIY club, and Kokoro is from another school.
Yasaku challenges her to arm resulting. Haruko sensei enters the room and is shocked to see Kokoro. Kokoro greets her. In the meantime, Yasaku wins. Haruko and Kokoro seem to know each other, as in the past, Kokoro used to play with Haruko when Kokoro’s parents came to Japan for business.
Yasaku tells them that Haruko’s family are wealthy merchants from the Tohoku region. Haruko tells them that Kokoro is rich, too, as they have an extensive house with many rooms back in her hometown.
Haruko grants Kokoro permission to build a tree house with the girls. But Kokoro cannot be an official member as she is from a different school.
Yasaku praises Kokoro, tells her she has strong arms, and accepts her. Kokoro returns to her school by climbing trees and walking through the roofs. Kokoro asks Miku to join if she is interested in the DIY club, but she refuses.
They have other essential materials except for tree attachment bolts which are very expensive, and their club funds are low. Kokoro takes them to a place where they can get unused pallets. They plan to make wall shelves out of it. They also thank Kokoro for her help.

Do It Yourself is an original anime series by studio PINE JAM. Kazuhiro Yoneda is directing the anime, and Kazuyuki Fudeyasu is penning down the series script.
The anime will follow the daily adventures of Purin and her five school friends who find joy in working on various DIY projects. No matter how much they struggle or how many times they fail, they don’t give up and see the projects through to their end.
