Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 introduced a new DMZ mode based around extraction and survival. Players collect rewards in every match which can be carried over to the next round. However, if one dies, these will be lost forever.
An exploit of DMZ mode in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 gives players over million in cash.
The exploit is rather simple to execute. Stand in front of a weapon placed on the ground and a cash bundle of $500. Then, face towards the gun and position yourself such that the notes’ tooltip is visible on-screen. Press the button to pick up the gun, and after doing so, you will have $1.3 million in cash.
Both the players in the party receive the cash. Interestingly, the second person gets the cash before the one executing the exploit.
Here’s what might be happening. The player goes to pick up the gun, but the game thinks he is reaching for the money. So, the system gets confused and grants the maximum amount of cash.
While hackers have been an annoying part of Call of Duty games, one that Activision has actively tried to eliminate, there’s also the prevalent cases of exploits and glitches. This is a controversial subject since these exploits are usually a grey area for punishment.
Activision has not released an official statement yet. We can expect a fix soon enough since such an exploit is not fair for all players involved. Whether the exploiters will be punished for possessing extra cash or not remains to be seen.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
