Powered by friendship and love, Hiro Mashima’s newest creation Edens Zero is an inter-galactic tale of Shiki, a boy raised by robots, and his adventures while travelling with Rebecca and her robot cat Happy.
While Hiro Mashima’s previous work Fairy Tail was set in a magical land filled with mages, Edens Zero focuses on technology, robots and space travel. With such a fun premise, no wonder Netflix picked up the manga for an anime adaptation.
Now, Netflix has just dropped the official trailer for Edens Zero airing from April 10th at 24:55 on Japanese TV channel NTV and Netflix will soon be sharing info about streaming the series on their platform.
The trailer is a summary of Shiki and Rebecca’s first encounter when Rebecca and Happy’s had decided to visit the Granbell Kingdom. They find Shiki and urge him to go with them and thus starts their epic adventure. Now on their journey they meet new friends, enemies and travel the inter galactic space.
The trailer shares some snippet of Shiki’s fight while the opening theme song “Eden through the rough” by Takanori Nishikawa plays in the background.
The ending theme song is by CHICO with Honeyworks titled “A Vlog of the Journey.”

If you’ve loved Hiro Mashima’s earlier work Fairy Tail, then you probably should give Edens Zero a try. Not only do the characters share a striking resemblance towards each other, but the similar theme of friendship and helping others in need will certainly drawn you towards watching the anime.
On the other hand, Edens Zero is a very plot heavy manga compared to Fairy Tail. Mashima’s has really worked hard in his new space concept and each arc has better characterization and a darker tone. So, you don’t have to worry about Edens Zero being totally like Fairy Tail.
You can enjoy both regardless. All you have to do is wait till April 10 for its grand release!
About Edens Zero
At the Granbell Kingdom, Shiki has lived his entire life among machines, in an abandoned amusement park. But one day, Rebecca and her cat companion Happy appear at the park’s front gates.
Little do they know that this is the first human contact Granbell has had in a hundred years!
As Shiki stumbles his way into making new friends, his former neighbors stir at an opportunity for a robot-rebellion.
When his old homeland becomes too dangerous, Shiki must join Rebecca and Happy on their spaceship and escape into the boundless cosmos.
