Episode 55 Recap

A girl climbs up a billboard while in her sleep and is recused later. Kiyo tells some children feeding cats inside the dorm not to do so. At night, all the cats gather around a hologram ghost, and the ghost uses its ability to make them stronger.

So the cats return to take revenge on Kiyo, and he starts walking at a high altitude and acting like a cat. Angoramon saves a girl from falling down from a Ferris wheel.

Kiyo shuts himself in his room. The next night, many people are influenced by the cats, and they all gather around at a place. Gammamon and Kiyo are also with them. Hiro gets caught by the Digimon responsible for all this, making Hiro follow in their footsteps.

The Digimon leads them to a pet cemetery, where it reveals that it is Bastemon. Bastemon starts a selection process to determine who will get the affection of cats as they will rule the world.

Those who fail, including Kiyo and Hiro, are also told to dig holes. These were the people who were to be buried alive. Suddenly, Ruri starts throwing olives and celery at the cats eating, which will intoxicate cats.

Ruri then uses her field to isolate Bastemon. Bastemon marches at Ruri. Angoramon wrap evolves into Lamortmon. Bastemon uses her vampire dance to drain Lamortmon’s energy.

Canoweissmon and Thetismon also enter the battlefield. With the joint effort of Thetismon and Canoweissmon, they manage to defeat Bastemon. Bastemon accepts her defeat, and Kiyo later opens a club to care for cats.
