Episode three of Digimon Ghost Game titled “Scribbles” is the latest installment of the series.
Ruri, the newest Digimon tamer, and her Digimon, Angoramon, debuted in the last episode. We barely get any time with Hiro and Gammamon this time, and the episode focuses mainly on Ruri.
Angoramon reveals that he became very fond of Ruri because he loved listening to her play the piano. He protects her from Dracumon, and she learns new attack techniques that Angoramon can use.
The duo become friends with Hiro and Gammamon, and I look forward to seeing their adventures together.
The next episode of Digimon will be a holiday special based on Halloween.
Episode 4 Speculation
Episode four of Digimon will be a Halloween special. The city will be decorated with many jack-o-lanterns. Children dressing up in all sorts of costumes flood the town.
Carved pumpkins are everywhere, and so is the potential for another Digimon appearance.
We will meet Pumpkinmon, a new Digimon for Halloween. From the preview, he does seem suspiciously evil as we see him wrap a pumpkin around people’s bodies and carve something into that pumpkin.
Maybe he’s doing that because he feels like people are cruel towards the pumpkins, or perhaps he’s just lonely. In the next episode, we’ll uncover Pumpkinmon’s true intentions as Hiro and new friends set out on another adventure.
Episode 4 Release Date

Episode 3 Recap
The episode opens with a new paranormal activity taking place in the human world. People are getting digital scribbles on their photos that make strange things happen to the marked part of their bodies.
We follow Ruri as she gets the same red scribbles on her hands. She deletes the picture, but it reappears. After a few hours, Ruri gets a weird feeling on her hands, and they become translucent.
As her condition worsens, her fingers start disappearing altogether. She tries to play the piano, but her fingers become pixelated when they touch the keys.
An ominous presence looms around in the form of purple circles, enjoying watching her suffer. The presence seems to be coming from digital gadgets.
Suddenly, she gets a message from Hiro, asking her if something strange had happened to her. He mentions that it might be the work of a Digimon. He tells her that he might be able to help her out.
When the two finally meet, Hiro sees a Digimon right behind Ruri. The Digimon, however, was not visible to Ruri. It introduces itself as Angoramon and tells Hiro that he wasn’t behind the crimes. It was another Digimon named Dracumon.
Dracumon has evil eyes on both his hands and uses them to play pranks on the pictures of humans. Ruri happens to be one of his targets.
Angoramon tells them that Dracumon moves through the internet and watches his targets suffer for two days.
Hiro asks him why Dracumon would do such a thing, and Angoramon tells him that it was because he wanted to materialize and play larger, more dangerous pranks on people.
Hiro tells Angoramon that his digiwatch was capable of materializing Digimon to the real world. They use it as bait to summon Dracumon and catch him. Their attempt fails as their enemy is too swift.
They follow him to an alley where Dracumon uses his evil eyes to hypnotize Hiro, telling him to materialize his digital state. Hiro is about to do that, but Gammamon and Angoramon manage to stop him.
Hiro passes the watch to Ruri since she cannot see Dracumon and hence cannot be hypnotized. After putting on the watch, she finally sees Angoramon, who tells her that he wanted to protect her because he had grown fond of her piano skills.
Hiro gets hypnotized again, and Angoramon asks Ruri to materialize him so that he can break the hypnosis.
Ruri materializes him, and Angoramon finally defeats Dracumon due to his new power. As a precaution, Hiro takes his evil eyes away, and the evil Digimon flees.
As the episode ends, we see Dracumon looking over the city. He calls Hiro and team idiots and reveals that he had backup evil eyes all along.
About Digimon
Digimon, short for “Digital Monsters,” is a Japanese media franchise offering toy pets, manga, anime, games, films, and even a trading card game. The franchise was created back in 1997 as a series of virtual pets, influenced by Tamagotchi/nano Giga Pet toys.
The franchise gained momentum with its first anime, Digimon Adventure, and an early video game, Digimon World, both of which were released in 1999.
Digimon, the series focuses on monsters like creatures, who inhabit a “Digital World,” a parallel universe that originated from Earth’s various communication networks. Digimon hatch from eggs called Digi-Eggs, and they go through Digivolution, which changes their appearance and increases their powers over time.
The effect of Digivolution, however, is not permanent. Digimon who have digivolved will find most of the time revert back to their previous form after a battle or if they are too weak to continue. Most of them can even speak.
