Digimon Ghost Game Episode 13: Release Date, Speculation, Watch Online

Episode 12 of Digimon Ghost Game titled “Chain Letter” is the series’ latest installment.

This episode showed us a newly evolved form of Gammamon, called Wenzel Gammamon. He’s stronger than his previous evolution, but we still haven’t seen the true extent of his power.

A new evil Digimon, Zassoumon, was also introduced, and despite leaving the humans alone, there was something sinister about the Digimon.

Episode 13 Speculation

In episode 13, we’ll be introduced to a sniper Digimon who targets other Digimon and kills them. One of his targets will be Gorimon, who will be shot dead by this evil Digimon.

Who exactly is behind these incidents? How will Hiro and his friends save the Digimon world from this sniper? We’ll find out in the next episode of Digimon Ghost Game. 

Episode 13 Release Date

Episode 13 of the Digimon Ghost Game anime, titled “Executioner”, has been released on Saturday, Jan 08, 2022.

Episode 12 Recap

In episode 12, a chain mail spreads around the town containing a message that asks the receiver to forward it to 20 other people or get cursed forever.

Since chain mails aren’t as prevalent as they once were, most people ignore this mail and press delete. After deleting the mail, a bunch of Zassoumons multiply like viruses and start attacking the people who deleted the mails.

Hiro, Kiyo and, Ruri also receives the email, and like others, they too delete it. Unbeknownst to them, the mail automatically gets sent to every other person in their vicinity after they try to remove the mail from their devices. This results in Hiro and Kiyo’s dorms getting attacked by an entire army of Zassoumons.

Ruri, who is in an aquarium with her friends, is also attacked. Zassoumons are a Digimon who absorb moisture from humans and their surroundings to grow bigger, and hence, an aquarium is like a gold mine to them.

Ruri is able to get rid of these evil Digimon, and Angoramon arrives just in time to save her and her friends. They rush towards Bokomon’s lab, where all the internet connections are cut off for a while.

Hiro and Kiyo, along with Gammamon and Jellymon, are already there, discussing the situation with Bokomon.

He tells them that the Zassoumons are multiplying exponentially, and if they don’t stop them, they’ll probably take over the entire world, dominating the human race.

Disturbed by this revelation, the kids ask Bokomon if there’s a way to stop them, and he tells them that these Digimon can only be stopped if they are gathered in a single location.

This gives Kiyo an idea, and he transports them to the Digital AR Field, which only has one large lake. All the Zassoumons are attracted to the water and successfully gather in a single location.

This is when Angoramon and Gammamon start attacking the Zassoumons but can’t wipe them out entirely because they combine into bigger versions of themselves after getting hurt.

Jellymon steps in and evolves into Teslajellymon. Kiyo and Teslajellymon then start killing Zassoumons in large numbers but still face some amount of difficulty.

Inspired by this, Gammamon evolves into his third and more powerful form, Wenzel Gammamon. Just as Wenzel Gammamon is about to blow all of the Zassoumons in one go, a senior Zassoumon reveals himself and pleads with them to stop attacking.

He says that the reason why there were so many of him was that he felt lonely. Zassoumon promises that he won’t attack the human world again and leaves with his clones. Hiro, Kiyo, and Ruri then return to their world with their respective Digimon.

About Digimon

Digimon, short for “Digital Monsters,” is a Japanese media franchise offering toy pets, manga, anime, games, films, and even a trading card game. The franchise was created back in 1997 as a series of virtual pets, influenced by Tamagotchi/nano Giga Pet toys.

The franchise gained momentum with its first anime, Digimon Adventure, and an early video game, Digimon World, both of which were released in 1999.

Digimon, the series focuses on monsters like creatures, who inhabit a “Digital World,” a parallel universe that originated from Earth’s various communication networks. Digimon hatch from eggs called Digi-Eggs, and they go through Digivolution, which changes their appearance and increases their powers over time.

The effect of Digivolution, however, is not permanent. Digimon who have digivolved will find most of the time revert back to their previous form after a battle or if they are too weak to continue. Most of them can even speak.
