Despite his efforts to convince Donny to drop the charges, Donny, full of rage, refuses to cooperate.

After an emotional confrontation with Grace in prison, Jimmy’s persistence finally pays off. The DA, upon learning about Donny’s history of abuse, agrees to drop the charges against Grace.

Surprisingly, instead of feeling relief, Grace struggles to accept the outcome. Her sense of guilt convinces her that the decision is unfair, and she blames herself for Donny’s fate. In her mind, she deserves punishment, not freedom.

The reunion initially goes well, with Sean’s father expressing pride in his son’s culinary success.

However, Liz starts feeling guilty, thinking that she has come between their relationship. As a result, she decides to give her share of the food truck to Sean’s father. This well-intentioned decision backfires, as Sean becomes furious that Liz made such a significant choice without consulting him.

Sean’s anger leads to a serious rift, and he walks away from Liz, leaving their once-thriving business in jeopardy.

How does Alice go through a rollercoaster of emotions?

Alice, Jimmy’s daughter, is still struggling to cope with her mother’s death, which was caused by a drunk driver, Louis. While Jimmy has somewhat managed to contain his anger, Alice is consumed by feelings of rage and vengeance.

Encouraged by her friend Summer, Alice writes an angry letter to Louis and continues following him. When they eventually cross paths, Louis tries to apologize, but Alice, overwhelmed by emotion, storms out, unable to process her conflicting feelings.

Does Alice really kiss Connor?

In the sheer frustration of it all, Alice ends up kissing Connor (Liz’s son), who is now dating Summer, her best friend. Well, now that’s a rash decision, and not without consequences.

This causes a massive rift in her relationship with not just Summer, but Connor as well.

With such an emotional outburst, Alice may now be expected to realize that her tendency to hold on to anger only causes more anger, and evidently, more pain. A possible forgiveness arc may be predicted, which can also involve healing as a principal theme.

Final Thoughts

In the end, it can be seen that Episode 3 delivers plenty of emotional roller coasters, not without unexpected conflicts and clashes. While Jimmy is seen to assist Grace in securing her liberty, her troubled state goes on raise even deeper questions about her relationships.

With Sean and Liz’s misunderstanding adding to the chaotic mix, Alice’s emotional outbursts only point out to one thing – loads of unresolved trauma. The drama only gets increasingly intense from here!
