The My Hero Academia universe’s top dog, All Might, put down his title “The Protector of Peace” in his concluding battle against All for One.
Endeavour, the Rank 2 hero, claimed the place of the mightiest hero, and this started a domino effect that changed the ranks of many professional heroes. In continuation, the number two spot was filled by Hawks, the winged wonder.
Hawks has been working deep undercover in the Paranormal Liberation Front to supply the heroes with inside information. Chapter 262, titled “Mirko – The No. 5 Hero”, hints at Hawks’ cover is finally blown.
Hawks, or Takami Keigo, is playing a critical character against the war between Heroes and Villains. He is acting as an undercover agent in the Paranormal Liberation Front, attempting to dismantle the organization from within.
Under Shigaraki’s leadership, amassing a force of 100,000 villains, the PLF has indeed become a significant threat to the peace of the world.
Being an undercover agent, the identity of Hawks isn’t known by the hero community at large. Still, Hawks has been slipping Endeavour coded messages from beyond enemy lines to ring alarms for the upcoming battle.
Hawks’ inside information was a crucial component in starting the collective effort from the Heroes to raid PLF bases secretly. Now that the surprise attack has begun, people in the PLF doubt Hawks’ loyalty to Shigaraki.
The next chapter of the series will be released on 8th March. Chapter 263 will likely continue this storyline.
