Diary of Our Days at The Breakwater is a refreshing anime that portrays fishing as a beautiful outdoor sport. The moving waves remind us of other anime dealing with seascapes like Grand Blue or Ponyo. However, the concept of recreational fishing is quite unique.
Diary of Our Days at Breakwater first aired on 7th April. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, only 3 episodes could be produced. Thus the anime went on a delay after the broadcast of the 3rd episode on 21st April.
Finally, the anime is coming back to the screens with its remaining episodes. It will resume broadcast on 7th July on ATX, Tokyo MX, and MBS. (On BSS11 on 8th July and on RKK Kumamoto Housou on 10th July) It can also be streamed online on d Anime Store or Funimation.
The anime’s official website also announced that they will try to resume production procedures while keeping in mind the health and safety of the staff.
The anime is adapted from the manga by the same name. It is written and illustrated by Yasuyuki Kosaka. It was serialized by Akita Shoten in the Young Champion Retsu magazine.
The anime adaptation is directed by Takaharu Okuma under studio Doga Kobo. It is written by Fumihiko Shima and licensed by Funimation.

The protagonist of the anime, Hina, seems to be an indoor person who discovers the charms of the seascapes.
This anime will undoubtedly strengthen our feelings to go outdoors, especially when locked inside our houses. It gives a fresh and exciting vibe with its sandy beaches and seas where we had hoped to spend our summer.
