5. Diamond no Ace Act II Chapter 231 Recap
Masashi fails to touch Amahisa’a pitches despite him swinging sharply and he strikes out.
Yuuki had connected 2 times out of 9 at-bats he had to date, and both ended as home runs, but the danger of Masashi passes for Amahisa and Sankou.
“Mounting constant pressure on the opposing pitcher with the speed and power of your swing is what Seidou’s baseball is about.”
Next up to bat is Kanemaru, and Amahisa knows he can’t hit anything but a fastball. But Kanemaru was thinking one step ahead of him and knew what Amahisa was going to toss and hit a curveball down the left-field line for a double.
With one out, Sawamura is up to bat and he takes the stance, preparing for a bunt to advance the runner. Amahisa realizes this and gives Sawamura a Slider and he bunts it foul.
Sawamura understands his responsibility and he was committed to connecting it to the top of the lineup so his seniors can take care of the rest and makes a bunt to safely make it to base.
