Diamond no Ace Act II Chapter 242: Release Date, Delay, and Discussions

Bunbunmaru or not, Seidou batters are unstoppable now and are all fired up to steal the show! Even if a pitch was slightly on the weak side, Seidou made a solid hit with it and advanced the runner. Following this strategy, Seidou has managed to bring a runner on third with two outs.

Next up to bat is the third baseman, Kanemaru, and Amahisa is taking him lightly, claiming the smaller the dog, the bigger the bark. Will this be the game-changing mistake from Amahisa? Will Kanemaru successfully advance the runner?

With everyone on edge, as fans anticipate how the seventh innings of the game might end up, we bring the updates on the next chapter of Diamond no Ace Act 2.

1. Chapter 242 Discussion and Predictions

Batting at 8th, Kanemaru is determined to advance the runner no matter how. With the pressure mounting on the opposition, a plausible strategy might be to walk Kanemaru and then pitch to the weaker batter, Sawamura.

But knowing Amahisa, this does not fit his character, and he would rather fight any batsman head-on than run away.

Even if Kanemaru hits, Terajima has been foreshadowing Zono’s injury several times in this match, and now could be the perfect time for it to come into the spotlight. Then, Sawamura might hit the ball for a home run in the next innings and steal the lead from Sankou.

In the next chapter, we will find out whether Seidou will be able to score while reducing the number of meaningless outs or will Amahisa manage to strike out Seidou’s batter at the plate.

Toujou makes a sacrificial bunt to advance the runner to the second and hands the plate to the first year, Masashi. The left fielder, Yuuki Masashi’s selling point is his formidable full swing, and facing him at this point in the game put a lot of pressure on Amahisa.

Since Seidou has been avoiding swinging at the outside slider and targeting the inside pitches, Amahisa throws the first pitch to Masashi as a fastball to the outside. Although it ends up as a foul, Masashi swung at it as if he was specifically targeting fast pitches.

Zono notices that Sankou’s outfielders are wary of Masashi’s swing and delve deeper into the field. He plans to run straight home if the ball gets past them.

Amahisa throws a curveball to test Masashi’s reaction for the next pitch, but it misses the zone and ends up as a ball. Next, Amahisa throws a breaking ball to the outside, but that too ends up as a foul.

Noticing Masashi’s reaction to the last couple of pitches, Amahisa decides to shut him out with a fastball, but Masashi connects it for a long hit to the right field.

However, the right fielder grabs the ball for an out, and the runner from second tags up. With two outs and Zono on third, batting at 8th, comes the third baseman, Kanemaru.
