Sawamura is facing Sankou’s best batter, Hoshida and Seidou is in a pinch. Sawamura welcomes Hoshida with an inside moving pitch, which he fouled off for strike. Then, he pitches an out-low pitch that was supposed to be a ball, but Miyuki framed it and turned it into a strike.

With two strikes down against Hoshida, Sawamura has gained a strong determination and locates a pitch that run away from the zone, and Hoshida strikes out swinging in 3 pitches.

The focus shifts back to the game, at the top of 4th. Sawamura is pitching at a good pace and taking strikes after another.

The leadoff man, Mori, is out on a fly to second. Batting at 3rd, Miyagawa couldn’t touch the first two pitches resulting in strikes, but he manages to shortstop the third pitch and runs to first base. 

However, the first baseman, Zono, misses the catch due to his injury and Miyagawa races to second. With Seido’s fielding error, Sankou is one out with a runner on second. Seido is about to face Sankou’s main cannon, Hoshida. 

6. About Diamond no Ace

Ace of Diamond, also known as Diamond no Ace, is a Japanese shōnen baseball manga series written and illustrated by Yuji Terajima and published by Kodansha. A sequel titled Ace of Diamond Act II started in 2015.

The series follows one Eijun Sawamura, a baseball pitcher with a very unusual changeup pitch that has occurred naturally.

Sawamura plans to go with his friends to a local high school and play baseball to the best of their abilities.

However, one scout from the prestigious Seidou High approaches him and offers him a scholarship and a chance to make it to the nationals. Sawamura decides to pay a visit to the school, and it changes his entire outlook on the future.
