Chapter 220, titled “Presentation,” begins with Ichidai Sankou’s baseball team studying the tapes of Seidou High’s players.

They dissect Sawamura’s pitching and discuss ways to adjust his pitches. They work harder as Kousei encourages them.

He thinks Sawamura better prepare himself, as his teammates will not go down easy.

At Seidou’s practice ground, their captain asks Sawamura to open up about his aim to introduce the new pitch; he says if Sawamura has a clear-cut goal, they can help him achieve it.

II. His Pitching Technique

Sawamura begins to explain that fastballs dominate his pitches; he suggests that if he can add pitches like the slider and the curveball, his pitching freedom will increase, but he is yet to improve them.

While doing his research since the books and long videos bored him, he thought long and hard about which area to develop and concluded to improve his splitter and 2-seamer to make them his main pitches.

Ace of Diamond, also known as Diamond no Ace, is a Japanese shōnen baseball manga series written and illustrated by Yuji Terajima and published by Kodansha.

Weekly Shōnen Magazine has serialized it from 2006 to 2015. A sequel titled Ace of Diamond Act II started in 2015. The series follows one Eijun Sawamura, a baseball pitcher with a very unusual changeup pitch that has occurred naturally.

Sawamura plans to go with his friends to a local high school and play baseball to the best of their abilities. However, one scout from the prestigious Seidou High approaches him and offers him a scholarship and a chance to make it to the nationals.

Sawamura decides to pay a visit to the school, and it changes his entire outlook on the future.
