Chapter 275 of Diamond no Ace Act II, titled “Soul Power,” was the manga’s latest installment.

In this chapter, the Inajitsu batting lineup gives a pretty strong performance. Even though Ezaki was unable to bunt, Carlos’s batting was enough to change the dynamics of the game. Inajitsu is very close to scoring a run.

Their runners on first and third, and with the entry of Shirakawa, things have taken a turn.

In the top of the fifth, wanting to capitalize on Furuya’s hit, Tojou bunts successfully, but the next batter, Kanemaru, retires because of Carlos.

Narumiya performs a changeup and catches Aso, the ninth batter, off guard. The stalemate in the pitchers’ duel continues.

Inajitsu’s eight’s batter, left-fielder, Jinguuji, is next on the field. Following him is Ezaki, the ninth batter, second baseman. Players of Teikou High are viewing the match, and they notice now Inajitsu is showing their toughness by bunting to advance the runner.

Ezaki tries to bunt two times but gets a foul warning. He gets ready to bunt for the third time, but his attempts fail. It brings Seidou 1 out for starters. The batting order for Inajitsu is back to the top, and Carlos is up next.

The first pitch from Furuya is a low-breaking ball as Carlos tries to stir things up. He takes a bunt stance for the second ball, but the second pitch also misses. Carlos doesn’t let Furuya throw in peace, tiring him further.

On the third pitch, Carlos bunts, and the ball goes over the second baseman’s head. The runner from first, Jinguuji, goes straight for third.

The right fielder from Seidou, Shirasu, catches up, and it is one out with runners on first and third. This daring tactic creates an excellent opportunity for Inajitsu to score.

The next in batter’s box is two-hole Shirakawa. The top of the Inajitsu lineup seeks to connect it to their clean-up crew. As Shirakawa enters the field, the biggest crisis in the game is about to begin.

Ace of Diamond is a Japanese shōnen baseball manga series by Yuji Terajima and published by Kodansha. Weekly Shōnen Magazine has serialized it from 2006 to 2015. A sequel titled Ace of Diamond Act II started in 2015. An anime adaptation ran from 6 October 2013 to 28 March 2016.

The protagonist is Eijun Sawamura, a baseball pitcher with a very strange changeup pitch that is natural to him but surprising to others. Sawamura plans to go to a local high school and play baseball with his friends, to showcase their skills and win the matches.
