Chapter 274 of Diamond no Ace Act II, titled “Tingling with Excitement,” was the manga’s latest installment.
In this chapter, Seidou batters are up against Narumiya once again. The Inajitsu pitcher hasn’t run out of steam and takes out all the batters without allowing them to score. Narumiya was thorough and intently crushed even the smallest of chances to score.
The catcher, too, was observant and sharp. Furuya seems to be running out of heat, but despite not scoring a single run, Seidou is still in high spirits.
Will Sawamura make a comeback and finally help Seidou to score? We’ll find out in the next chapter.
1. Chapter 275 Discussions and Predictions
We finally might get to see Sawamura in action in the next chapter. Furuya is keeping up quite well, but it does seem like he’s starting to feel the heat. Maybe his performance would drop in the next innings causing him to switch out with Sawamura.
Also, the batters seem to have a bit of tough luck, and the only exciting plays have been the duel between the pitchers. I hope that one of the teams scores soon so that the pressure builds up and a sense of urgency increases.
If the match continues in its current state, we might get an extra inning to decide the final victor.

5. Chapter 274 Recap
All the outs Furuya took since third against the powerful Inajitsu lineup were strikeouts. Seeing Furuya being a monster and outdoing his Senbatsu self, the stadium and Sawamura are very impressed.
At the top of the fifth, Furuya is even more unstoppable, hitting Narumiya.
The batter rolls down the ball to the first baseline. The sacrifice bunt succeeds, the runner advances to the second. Seidou compliments Tojou for his bunt, and Injitsu players notice how they want to avoid tiring Furuya as much as possible.
In the batter’s box is Seidou’s eighth batter, third baseman Kanemaru. The lineup is comprised of batters who always swing assertively.
This is done to make Narumiya feel pressured. The outfielders are more or less in their regular positions, and the current batter is best at hitting fastballs.
Narumiya throws a low-breaking ball, and the batter misses it, waiting for a fastball. Seidou’s coach knows that their opponents are aware that fastballs are their forte. He notes that if they wanted to target something, it should be a breaking ball.
Narumiya throws his second pitch, and it goes to center field. It falls in the defense range of center fielder Carlos. Furuya cannot move from the second. Now it’s two outs, with the runner on second. In the batter’s box is Seidou’s ninth batter and left fielder Asou.
Asou tries his best to hit, but Narumiya catches him off-guard by changing up the first pitch. It’s a swing, and a miss as Narumiya aggressively tries to cut off any game flow that might be favorable to Seidou. Asou is out of the field after a strikeout swinging.
It’s the sixth strikeout of the day, and Narumiya holds the opponents to zero runs in yet another inning. As the inning ends, Seidou’s confidence has not faltered as they prepare for the next part of the match.
