Diamond no Ace Act II Chapter 274: Release Date, Delay, Discussion

Chapter 274 of Diamond no Ace Act II, titled “The Way of Being,” was the manga’s latest installment.

In this chapter, we saw how Sawamura handled Furuya’s success maturely. Instead of getting jealous, he acknowledged his progress and reminded himself of when Miyuki told him that sooner or later, they’d need his skills as the ace sooner or later.

Even though we might have to wait a bit more for Sawamura to finally pitch, the wait is going to be worth it. Will Seidou score in this inning? We’ll find out in the next chapter.

1. Chapter 274 Discussions and Predictions

The match will continue with Tojou as the batter in the next chapter. Even though the result is somewhat tied, it seems like Seidou will step up their game. Furuya’s performance as a pitcher has boosted everyone’s confidence.

With Furuya being absolutely monstrous, Sawamura might take the role of defending their lead. They might get to Sawamura as the pitcher when they actually start scoring. I hope that Seidou scores in this inning since both Narumiya and Furuya had their share of flaunting their skills.

5. Chapter 273 Recap

Furuya’s pitching continues as the Inajitsu players discuss how he’s been going at full throttle right from the beginning. They are waiting for him to run out of steam because there’s no way he can keep up his performance for too long.

Tadano Itsuki, the sixth batter from Inajitsu, shares this team’s sentiment thinking how Furuya will be down in time if he just hangs on.

His goal isn’t accomplished since he’s out on the next ball. Furuya’s pitch takes down four batters in a row, making the crowd cheer for him even more.

Sawamura gets a flashback to Furuya’s pitching in Senbatsu when a similar atmosphere took over the stadium. He thinks about when Miyuki asked Furuya if he had ever considered pitching in the world of pros.

Okumura realizes how Sawamura is lost in thought and calls him back to the dugout.

As they head back, Sawamura clarifies that he wasn’t jealous of Furuya’s success. He recalls that Miyuki told him that there would come a time when his ability and skill as an ace would be needed. He just needed to wait for it without rushing and save his strength until then.

Furuya’s frenzy continues as he takes out the seventh batter, Tadano. Shirakawa commented on how Furuya won’t be able to maintain his level, but Furuya proved him wrong by striking out Tadano for his fourth consecutive Ks.

It’s the top of the fifth, and Seidou High is attacking. Furuya is the fifth batter with Narumiya as the pitcher. Narumiya corners him in just two pitches, and in the third pitch, he’s hammed with a fastball. Furuya still launches it to the right field, hitting the ground.

Furuya gets on the base and gives his team a boost in momentum. The sixth batter is Tojou, the bottom of the line-up.
