Diamond no Ace Act II Chapter 266, titled “Full Throttle,” was the latest chapter released for the manga.

Seidou High finally defended with Furuya entrusted with starting the pitcher position in the final. The first batter is Kamiya Carlos, a rather dangerous player who is good at hitting long shots and is a swift runner.

Carlos manages to reach the third base, with the third batter being Saotome. Furuya must stop Kamiya from getting to the home base. However, with one of Inajitsu’s finest players already on the third, how will Furuya pull it off? Will Inajitsu score a run? We’ll find out in the next chapter.

1. Chapter 267 Discussions and Predictions 

Chapter 267 will resume with Furuya’s pitch against Saotome. Since we saw Furuya being pretty confident about not letting Kamiya reach the home base, Saotome will probably not hit any ball and will get three strikes instantly. He could also get out if one of the fielders catches his hit.

Still, the real challenge will arise when the clean-up or the fourth batter arrives. Even though it is likely that Furuya will not lose a run, it is also possible that he self-destructs.

5. Chapter 266 Recap

The chapter starts with the commentator announcing three outs and Kuramochi being stranded as the runner from third. Inajitsu’s Narumiya overcomes the risky situation with no lost runs. It was now Seidou’s turn to defend.

Furuya Satoru is the pitcher for Seidou. The catcher is Kazuya, with first, second, and third bases defended by Kenta, Kominato, and Kanemaru.

The players take their positions as they get ready to show what kind of defense they formed against the Inajitsu lineup. The first batter from Inajitsu is Kamiya Carlos, a dangerous player who is fast on his feet and can hit long shots.

Flamethrower Furuya throws his first pitch, which hits a speed of 155kmph. Kamiya is unable to hit the ball, causing him one strike. He hits the third ball and lands on the second base.

Second to bat is Shirakawa. With Kamiya on the second, the chances of Inajitsu scoring runs are pretty high. Shirakawa pulls off a successful sacrifice bunt, and Kamiya reaches the third base.

The third batter is Saotome. Kazuya perceives him as a batter who can hit at entirely different angles. Furuya realizes that for Seidou to get an advantage, it was important for Kamiya not to reach the home base.

The chapter ends with Furuya declaring that it was no problem to stop Inajitsu from scoring a run.

Ace of Diamond is a Japanese shōnen baseball manga series by Yuji Terajima and published by Kodansha. Weekly Shōnen Magazine has serialized it from 2006 to 2015. A sequel titled Ace of Diamond Act II started in 2015. An anime adaptation ran from 6 October 2013 to 28 March 2016.

The protagonist is Eijun Sawamura, a baseball pitcher with a very strange changeup pitch that is natural to him but surprising to others. Sawamura plans to go to a local high school and play baseball with his friends, to showcase their skills and win the matches.
