Immediately after Diablo IV was released, Blizzard quickly rolled out hotfix patches to take care of minor bugs and glitches. However, a major update is in the works. It will introduce a long list of changes including optimization improvements.
Blizzard has confirmed that they will be increasing the XP gained in Nightmare Dungeons which is available via Nightmare Sigils, given by the Tree of Whispers after completing the first 10 Grim Favors. The change will be implemented just before Season 1 of Diablo IV begins.
Druids will get more unique drops for their class after an adjustment to their loot tables and an increase to the current cap for materials. This will also be implemented before Season 1 releases.
The Gems section will be shifted to the materials section, freeing up plenty of inventory space. However, players won’t see this change before Season 2.
Blizzard has also planned for an improvement of the Resistances, which it claimed are too weak and less desirable. In Season 2, we can expect them to become important in higher World Tiers.
The Diablo IV community also raised the issue of deaths caused by disconnections. In response, Blizzard informed that if a player has at least one Scroll of Escape, they will be transported safely into town upon disconnection. However, this change will be implemented from Season 2 onwards.
Players will not have to unlock and rediscover Seasonal Realms, Renown, and Altars of Lilith if they have done so for the map in the Eternal Realm. Blizzard will also change the level 80 requirement needed to access World Boss Caches in the fourth tier. However, it hasn’t been specified when exactly this update will be available.
Diablo IV seems to be a promising game with over 350 million hours playtime till date. This stat is surprising given that most players are yet to finish the main campaign. Hopefully, the upcoming major update will smoothen the gameplay, inviting more gamers to join the Realm.
