Summary
- Developers Blizzard have announced Season 4 of Diablo 4 in their latest Campfire Chat broadcast.
- Season 4 will bring changes to itemization and the economy with lesser but better drops.
- Players can now trade Gems for Gold along with reduced World Tiers for a lot of drops.
Diablo 4’s Season 3 sought to right the wrongs of Seasons 1 and 2. Many balancing issues, along with in-game glitches, were rectified in Season 3.
Developers of Diablo 4, Blizzard Entertainment broadcasted a new Campfire Chat, revealing that Season 4 starts on May 14th, extending the Season of Construct. Itemization will now focus on quality instead of quantity, i.e., fewer loot pieces will be dropped, but they will be better in quality.
Additionally, Unused Affixes will be removed from the game. Sacred Items will only appear in World Tier 3, while players can access Ancestral Items only in World Tier 4. The Affixes limit for equipment will be lowered.
One exciting and community-friendly change the developers have made is that the Unique and Legendary items can now be traded. The Gem System has also been simplified.
Players can also sell Gems for more Gold. Uniques will appear in World Tier 1 and 2 itself now. Uber Uniques, however, will be limited to enemies’ level 55+ in World Tier 3.
The developers also outlined the future roadmap and said they would change the Codex of Power, Tempering, and Greater Affixes – the new Masterworking item Upgrade System and updates for all classes.
Players can try out Season 4’s changes on the Diablo 4 Test Server called PTR. This trial is available only from April 4th to 9th. The developers are making the title more competitive and enjoyable with a well-rounded set of adjustments.
