343 Industries, the developers for Halo Infinite, recently released disappointing news regarding the Co-Op mode. However, fans were upset as it did not come with online matchmaking. As an alternative, the studio urged players to use the Discord feature to find players to party up. Fortunately, there’s some good news as well.
343 Industries fixed a Halo Infinite bug that downloaded over 300MB per single multiplayer match.
Twitter user @NicmeistaR discovered that a single multiplayer Halo Infinite match used over 300MB of data retrieved from the CDN. The user suggested the massive amount of data could be the reason for desync in the game. The actual data used in the game was found to be only 11MB.
Shortly after, 343 Industries acknowledged the bug and promised the community that developers were working on a backend solution and that an improvement would be made by August.
The update does not need an additional download, so players should enjoy smooth gameplay without unexpectedly lower framerates and slow connection.
Halo Infinite is not new to bugs and glitches. The awaited campaign co-op and forge mode was excluded in the post-launch version. While the developers’ team has been listening to the feedback, fans are having trouble keeping up with the arising issues.
Halo Infinite is available for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
