Gosho Aoyama, the author, and illustrator of Detective Conan posted an illustration of Conan, Shuichi Akai, and Masumi Sera, where the characters apologize for the delay and promise to meet fans in April 2021.
The story of the film takes place at a time when Japan is celebrating the upcoming World Sports Games, which is to be held in Tokyo. The inauguration of the “Japanese bullet” (world’s first vacuum superconducting linear train) will be held simultaneously with the games’ opening ceremony.
Japan’s top sponsors have gathered at the venue when suddenly one person after the other starts getting kidnapped. Conan links the incident with a similar case in America 15 years ago. Will Conan be able to save the face of Japan?
The pre-purchased tickets for the film can be used when the film is released in 2021. The specific release date will be informed later.
The anime film is being directed by Tomoka Nagaoka. Takeharu Sakurai is in charge of scriptwriting. The theme song “Scarlet Alibi” will be performed by the Japanese rock band, Tokyo Jihen. Let us sit back and look forward to Conan’s case solving skills and the various new gadgets that he will use.
