Destiny 2 Lightfall at Discounted Price in PlayStation-Exclusive sale

Destiny 2 reported the most concurrent players on Steam when Lightfall was launched. Since the previous expansion The Witch Queen had a phenomenal run, there were high expectations from this DLC too. However, Lightfall reviews were “Mostly Negative” on Steam as players were disappointed with the expansion’s campaign.

Sony is now offering Destiny 2’s Lightfall at a heavily discounted price from $49.99 to $33.49. This limited-time sale is only applicable for PlayStation consoles.

A 25% discount is also applied to the Lightfall + Annual Pass bundle, which is now available for $74.99 instead of $99.99. Players will have access to the full year of Lightfall content that Bungie will be launching.

Sony’s sale also lists the last three premium expansions for Destiny 2– Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, and The Witch Queen, at a 50% discount. If you’re looking to catch up on Destiny 2 content, these expansions are now available at $29.99 from $59.99.

Apart from the rocky response to Lightfall campaigns, Bungie also received some backlash after featured weapons were found to be missing. This was a huge disappointment since many were looking forward to getting their hands on the new set of gear.

Those who are unsure whether they want to grab these DLCs, need not worry. The sale will last for two more weeks, till April 12th. There’s plenty of time to decide. However, there’s no telling whether Sony will offer such discounts on Lightfall again.

There’s no explanation for why this sale is exclusively only available for PlayStation consoles. However, this could be a move by Bungie to attract players who might be considering switching to other platforms.
