Demon Slayer’s Latest Chapter Shocks Fans With Major Nezuko Surprise

Koyoharu Gotoge’s Demon Slayer was the highest-grossing manga of 2019, beating One Piece for the title after it’s ten-year-long reign.

Tanjiro’s journey as a demon slayer has been the hottest story of the season, but all good things must come to an end.

With Tanjiro now in the battle against Kibutsuji Muzan, the curtain will soon be drawn on the story.

Tanjiro’s relentless efforts to cure Nezuko and turn her back into a human have finally come to fruition. Chapter 196, titled “I Am,” shows Tanjiro accomplishing his goal as Nezuko turns back into a human with the help of Lady Tamayo.

Tanjiro, along with the surviving Hashira, is currently on the hunt for Muzan as he tries to escape the battleground before the sun rises.

With the help of Lady Tamayo’s poison and the efforts put in by the Demon Slayer Corps, Muzan is finally about to be defeated, which will bring the story to an end.

Chapter 195 ended with Nezuko wandering off into the night, and chapter 196 shows where to. Throughout the chapter, Nezuko regains all of her memories.

She remembers Muzan attacking her house and killing off her family to try and create a demon that can withstand sunlight. After this, she regains all of her memories from her journey as a demon.

As her mind catches up on what all has happened, her demonic features return to humans, and she proclaims: “I am Nezuko Kamado!! A demon killed my family.”

The chapter then continues the fight between Tanjiro and Muzan and reveals all four components of Lady Tamayo’s poison, affecting Muzan’s body. Unless something drastic happens, Muzan will be defeated in the upcoming chapter.
