5. Recap of Demon Slayer – Catch Up on the Story Till the 2nd Movie
I. Season 1
Demon Slayer starts with Tanjiro, who’s just trying to support his family after his dad dies. They may be going through some tough times but still find happiness together.
But then one day, everything turns upside down. Tanjiro comes home to find his family massacred and his sister, Nezuko, turned into a demon. Talk about a devastating turn of events!
Determined to get revenge and save his sister, Tanjiro embarks on a dangerous journey. And just when he starts feeling confident in his demon-slaying skills, his biggest enemy, Muzan Kibutsuji, starts gathering his forces for an all-out attack.
II. Season 2
Demon Slayer’s second season had two story arcs – the Mugen Train Arc and the Entertainment District Arc. Tanjiro teams up with Rengoku, the Flame Hashira, to rescue the passengers and take down the demons on Mugen Train.
Later, the squad joins forces with another top-ranked swordsman, the Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui. They head to the Yoshiwara Entertainment District, where demons are rumored to be lurking.
The district is bustling with human activity during the day, but things get super spooky at night.
After an epic battle, Tanjiro and Uzui are able to take down Gyutaro, while Zenitsu and Inosuke handle Daki. But before they can celebrate their victory, Gyutaro unleashes a powerful Blood Demon Art that wrecks the city.
