The new season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is arriving next month. It was previously indicated that the death of Upper Rank Six affected both sides of the war. The Ubuyashiki want to take advantage, but we all know Muzan Kibutsuji is not someone to remain silent at this.
The recently released movie World Tour Screenings: Demon Slayer: The Upper Ranks Gather and Onward to the Swordsmith Village unfolds the later events, teasing the upcoming season.
According to Deadline, the compilation film earned over $10 million at the US box office. It also ranked fourth place for the weekend and grossed over $35 million worldwide.
As per Box Office Mojo, the film opened in 1,780 theaters in the US on March 3 and earned about $4,220,412 that day, $3,447,394 on Saturday, and $2,450,000 on Sunday. This makes an approximate total of $10,117, 806.
In Japan, the new Demon Slayer film opened on February 3 and earned about 1,158,765,410 yen (about US$8.75 million). It ranked first in its opening weekend.
This movie includes the last two episodes of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Entertainment District Arc and the first episode from the upcoming season.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Swordsmith Village Arc will premiere on April 9 and have a one-hour special like the previous season.
The cliffhanger at the end of the last season has kept us guessing till now. I am curious to know why Akaza was called to Kibutsuji’s lair. What are your theories?
