Nezuko and Genya nearly approach the end of their adventure in episode 4 of Demon Slayer season 3, titled “Thank You, Tokito.”

Forced to make a decision that works for the better good, Tokito nearly ignores Kotetsu and leaves him to die. However, a familiar voice in his head brings back some aspects of his former self and his memories from the past, setting him on the right path.

Tanjiro continues to battle against a highly annoying yet durable demon and hatches a plan to reunite with the rest of the group, who barely hang on to life.

1. Episode 5 Speculation: 

Tanjiro and Nezuko are brought to the brink of their lives as Karaku re-enters the fight and waves his fan, launching a massive gust of wind into them and the floor. Genya is currently busy fighting Aizetsu, and it is unlikely that he will be able to help them, let alone win his own fight.

Mitsuri Kanroji is on her way to the battlefield and will likely be the one to save them all since an Upper Rank is still way out of their strength level. Muichiro will deal with the massive horde of monsters invading the village and save Haganezuka.

Episode 5 of Demon Slayer Season 3 will be released on Sunday, May 7, 2023. It is a weekly anime, and new episodes are released every Sunday.

3. Recap of Episode 4:

Tokito runs through the forest and nearly ignores the dying Kotetsu being attacked by a huge fish demon. However, Tanjiro’s words echo as he quickly turns path and slices the demon’s head off, shouting at Kotetsu to run away.

However, the demon immediately regenerates its head back. Tokito decides that its power source must be coming from somewhere else and attacks the vase on top of its head instead and guesses correctly. The demon falls to the ground and disintegrates.

As he walks away, Kotetsu thanks him and apologizes for everything he said in the past, and begs him to help Haganezuka, who is also being attacked. This triggers another memory of Tokito’s, one pertaining to his memory loss.

Meanwhile, Tanjiro struggles in his battle against one of the Upper Four clones. He hesitates to slice its head off, fearing creating more clones, but is forced to because of an attack he can’t dodge. However, it merely splits into two weaker clones that he quickly takes care of.

The fight is far from over as the demo comes back bearing wings and incredibly sharp talons and plucking at him with each swoop leaving him no openings to attack back. Meanwhile, Nezuko and Genya are near dead at the place of the other Upper Four clones.

As Nezuko remains at a standstill, Genya appears to be near death but refuses to die with just his pure will and rage. He pulls his gun out and blasts the demon in the face, but he just regenerates and stabs him again.

There is no way Genya survives with this much blood loss now, and the demons think so too, but he continues chanting a mysterious mantra. As the demon, Aizetsu goes for the final blow, Genya appears behind him and attacks him once more but is stopped by the Anger demon’s lightning attack.

Their fight distracts the one in charge of Nezuko, who takes advantage of the opening to use her Blood Arts to light him up in flames and kick him away. However, the Anger demon quickly reacts in frustration and sends a lightning bolt through her throat, completely immobilizing her,

Aizetsu goes to finish off a fatally injured Genya once more, but he refuses to die. Tanjiro creates a plan to take care of the demon, Urogi, and runs into the forest towards Nezuko and the others. Urogi attacks him just like he did before, but Tanjiro uses him for momentum and launches them both toward the house.

Tanjiro reaches the fight and gets Nezuko out of the lightning strike but is quickly countered because of their quick regeneration. Karaku also rejoins the battle and sends them both to the ground, helpless and unable to do anything. All hopes now lie on Mitsuri.
