Episode 5 Speculations and Discussion
When Akaza was introduced, I liked his style and character as a demon, but that’s different now. Watching Daki stunningly fight and be elegant made me rethink who could be the better demon after this episode.
With Tanjiro facing Daki, how will he take on the Upper Six demon? Is Tanjiro going to get help or face the worst in this encounter? It was funny to see Tanjiro feel dumb when Inosuke knew about the rank reveal on the palm.
Tengen is on his way to find the demon. Will he sense the fight going on with Tanjiro? Inosuke might join the fight with Daki as Tanjiro finds himself getting cornered.
With the demon slayers inflating the district, they are bound to encounter unexpected situations. Let’s wait and see how the following episodes progress.

Episode 5 of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba season 2 part 2 anime, titled “Things are Gonna get Real Flashy”, has been released on Sunday, Jan 02, 2022.

Episode 4 Recap
This episode starts with the Kyogoku House finding Zenitsu missing. The housemaster, with his frustration, tells him not to bother and forget about Zenitsu. Later Inosuke tells Tanjiro about the demon sighting in Ogimoto House.
As they wait for Tengen and Zenitsu, the Sound Hashira appears. He reveals that Zenitsu won’t make it, for he’s missing. Tengen lost contact with Zenitsu the previous night, and he states the slayers to leave.
He says if the demon is an upper rank, they won’t be able to handle it. After stating that bringing them might’ve been a wrong decision, Tengen says he’ll handle the mission alone and leaves.
Tanjiro wonders if Tengen can’t trust them because they’re lower ranks.
Inosuke reveals to Tanjiro their ranks have gone up, and they’re now Kanoe. Using a chant, he shows the palm can reveal a demon slayer’s rank.
Tanjiro figures out the demon must be using passageways through the houses since it appeared at Inosuke and Zenitsu’s houses.
He and Inosuke realize that’s the best way the demon can kill people and get away without any hassle. Tanjiro states that Tengen’s wives and Zenitsu are alive and makes a pact that he’ll save them no matter what.
He tells Inosuke to keep that in mind and take action, to which he agrees.
Tengen interrogates the Kyogoku housemaster and finds out Warabihime is behind the events. Later that night, Tanjiro meets the Oiran, Koinatsu, and tells her he’s leaving.
After Tanjiro left, Daki appears and captures Koinatsu. As Tanjiro is heading towards Inosuke, he senses a demon’s presence coming from the Tokito House. When Tanjiro enters Koinatsu’s room, he finds her wrapped in Daki’s belt.
Daki knew a slayer would show up, and she asks Tanjiro if there are more of them or any Hashira. Tanjiro realizes the demon is ranked upper six. He then tells Daki to let the Oiran go, but the demon finds it insulting that he’s ordering her.
Daki swiftly attacks Tanjiro, and he gets tossed intensely across another building. Tanjiro is overwhelmed with such power and tries to pull himself together. Daki is impressed Tanjiro can stand after such an attack.
Tanjiro uses a water breathing technique and attacks Daki. They keep fighting intensely in mid-air, and Tanjiro severs a piece of belt that holds Koinatsu. Daki states she’s starting to get fond of Tanjiro and knows he’s at the brink of death.
Tanjiro is concerned and wonders if he can take on an upper-rank demon alone. He knows it’s not a matter of if he can, but he has to take on the devil. Tanjiro then takes a stance to fight Daki.
