In episode 2, titled “Infiltrating the Entertainment District,” the Sound Hashira and the slayers visited the Entertainment District. Tengen revealed the mission was to get intel on his wives.

It was stated Tengen lost communication and needed to infiltrate specific locations. Tengen disguised Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu as girls to go undercover at the locations.

Tanjiro and Inosuke get intel on two of Tengen’s wives and investigate further. In the end, Makio was seen caught by a demon and questioned.

Episode 3 Speculations and Discussion

Demon slayer is captivating as always with how the animation is done and the characters portrayed. Seeing the dynamic between the Sound Hashira and the slayers was worth the laughs.

The slayers have infiltrated the location to get intel for Tengen. What will the slayers discover about the brothels they’re at? Will Tengen’s wives be found before anything happens to them?

Inosuke has found a strong lead, and we might see him confront Makio’s situation. With Tengen having a hunch on a higher-ranked demon residing in the district, will the demons infesting the place be revealed?

Episode 3 of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba season 2 part 2 anime has been released on Sunday, Dec 19, 2021. The episode title or preview has not been shown.

Episode 2 Recap

This episode starts with Tengen taking Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke to the Entertainment District. Entering the Yoshiwara Entertainment District, Tengen tells the trio not to grab any attention.

Zenitsu and Inosuke are overwhelmed by the city’s atmosphere and get lost in the crowds Tengen gets annoyed and grabs them back, and they scout the area. Tengen explains how the city is wide awake during the nights and an ideal place for demons.

Later, he states their mission is to look for his three wives in the district. He says his wives – Suma, Makio, and Hinatsuru, are undercover to get intel on demon activity. Zenitsu finds it unbelievable that the hashira has three wives and calls him out on his personality.

Tengen gets annoyed and punches Zenitsu. He further explains that since the communications have stopped, the trio will determine the situation. He states his wives are at three different houses – Tokito, Kyogoku, and Ogimoto.

The slayers will be sent to infiltrate and search at the locations. Afterward, Tengen and the slayers disguise themselves with the trio dressed as girls for the mission. They are seen requesting a couple to give the girls some shelter, but they refuse based on their looks.

Tengen persuades the chaperone, and she takes Tanjiro disguised as Sumiko. Later, Inosuke gets the attention of a chaperone from the Ogimoto House and gets taken under the guise of Inoko.

At the Ogimoto House, the chaperone finds Inosuke pretty after removing the makeup.

Meanwhile, Tengen drops Zenitsu disguised as Zenko at Kyogoku House. The girls are stunned by Zenitsu’s shamisen strumming. Later, Tanjiro is seen helping around at the Tokito House even though he had a rough start due to his scar.

He overhears some girls talking about Ashinuke and asks them what it means. Ashinuke is when a woman runs away without paying her debts. They say Suma committed Ashinuke the other day, and Tanjiro realizes it’s one of Tengen’s wives.

An Oiran enters, and Tanjiro asks if Suma did commit Ashinuke. The Oiran wonders why he inquires about the matter. Noticing the Oiran is suspicious, Tanjiro pretends and says Suma is his older sister. The Oiran states it was unexpected for Suma to run away.

They found in Suma’s diary that she planned to commit Ashinuke. Tanjiro thinks Suma didn’t go missing, and it could be because of the demons. Tengen observes the district and wonders if an upper-rank demon runs it.

He thinks if that’s the case, the fight will be flashy till the end. Meanwhile, Inosuke gets intel on Makio and investigates further. A scene shows Makio caught by a demon and is questioned about the letters she’s been sending.
